Before Jesus was crucified, He created a remembrance of Himself. He told His disciples and us by extension-to "do this (eat the bread, drink from the cup) in remembrace of Me.. He started this way of remembrace-the Lord's Supper-as a comforting reminder of His great sacrifice, His presence, His power, and His promises.

Partake.... And remember.

We pour our lives into hobbies, pleasures, activities, work--many good things. but two things should always be thought about when making our choices. Jesus said, "you shall love your neighbor as yourself"

When it seems our life is getting out of balance, the question, Has that activity or thing ever loved me back?, may help to keep us in check. Loving God and loving people are what really count.

WE SHOW OUR LOVE FOR GOD WHEN WE SHARE HIS LOVE FOR OTHERS.

You shall have no other Gods before me

there is much in our society that we enjoy, but material things also pose grave dangers when we use them toughtlessly.

Are we using our material blessings to serve the Lord? or have we become slaves to them.


GOLD (MONEY, MATERIAL THINGS) CAN BE A HELPFUL SERVENT BUT A CRUEL MASTER.

Believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave meets our need for meaning. Salvation brings assurance that were forgiven. We have an eternal purpose and the hope of heaven. This is enough to bring deep peace and joy to our lives.

Isaiah 14:12-15 describes Satan's pride that led to his downfall.It is characterized by five "i will" aspirations to become like the Most High. Suprisingly much of Satan's stratagy, he actually seeks to imitate God. But this "imitation" is nothing like the believer is exhorted to do in Corinthinans 11:1.

Rather it is a satanic attempt at usurping God's rightful authority. As in the case of conterfiet currency, the best way to distinguish the real from the false is by knowing the genuine article. Second Cor 11:3 alludes back to the serpent and his deception of Eve by twisting God's own words. (Gen. 3:1-5) Being girded with the truth of God's Word is an intergral part of our defense against the Devil.

SATAN HAS MANY TOOLS, BUT DECEPTION IS THE HANDLE THAT FITS THEM ALL...

Total Surrender

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me" (Galatians 2:20).

Problems arise when, forgetting my yielding of control over to God, I try to run my own life again.

Thus, I am convinced that surrendering to God needs to be a daily discipline.

Each morning, my day needs to be given to Almighty God.

Moment by moment, my thoughts and emotions need to be submitted to the Holy One.

Every evening, the cares and worries of the day need to be relinquished to the Maker of the universe.

Then, day by day, little by little, I will begin to truly understand what it means to surrender to God.

Prayer:
God, Most High, help me, show me, teach me, how to surrender my life to You, that You may transform it. Amen.

At times we may feel that witnessing to others about our faith in Christ is a frightening task or a burdonsome duty. But talking about a Friend whose presence and influence have transformed our lives helps us see it in a new light. The gospel of Christ has always been most powerfully presented by the witness of His friends.

THE MORE YOU LOVE JESUS, THE MORE YOU'LL TALK ABOUT HIM....
