Was Jesus a moral miracle? the one sinless Person in the whole procession of sinful humans? Yes, He was the one spotless exception to this observation of the apostle Paul: "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 and the word ALL includes you and me.

Because all humanity has sinned , we can rejoice that Jesus was qualified--He and He alone--to e the flawless sacrifice.

We give thanks for Jesus Christ, our sinless sin-bearer

Guilty vile, and helpless we
spotless Lamb of God was He
"full atonement: can it be
Hallelujah! what a Savior

ONLY JESUS, THE PERFECT SACRIFICE,

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

Psalm 51:5

When we recongnize the ongoing reality of sin in our lives, we are reminded of our ongoing need for the presence of God and the power of His word to keep us safe and spiritually sane. He is waiting for us to confess ur faults and embrace the forgiveness and cleansing that He readily offers.

Remember, a refreshing plunge into God's mercy awaits you on the other side of confessed sin!

Out of shameful failure and loss,

Into the glorious gain of Thy cross

OWN UP TO YOUR SIN AND EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF CONFESSION.

Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies?
Psalm 77:9

In our darkest moments, we can remember the words of Jesus: "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.

We are never forgotten by God.

When trials loom or death is near,
In Christ we can confide
We never need to feel alone
He's always at our side.

A new year's prayer..

Dear Lord,
please give me...

A few friends who understand me and remain my friends
A work to do which has real value
without which the world would be the poorer
A mind unafraid to travel, even though the trail be not blazed:
An understanding heart:
A sense of humor,
Time for quiet, silent meditation,
A feeling of the presence of God,
The patience to wait for the coming of these things,
With the wisdom to recoginize them when they come.

So it is... Frightening circumstances are less troublesome if we trust the hands that control them. If our world and our lives were governed by a thoughtless and indifferent force, we would have good reason to fear. But the hands that control the universe--God's hands--are wise and compassionate. We can trust them in spite of our circumstances and not be afraid.

third, forgiveness creates a remarkable linkage, placing the forgiver on the same side as the party who did the wrong.

Are you facing temptation today? Dont give in. Cling to Jesus. Obey his commandments. Never exchange fellowship with Him for anything. It's always a poor trade-off.

Requests for health, healing, success, and even spiritual power are not wrong, buy they can become selfish prayers if they do not flow from a heart determined to obey God. Jesus said " He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves me" And he who loves Me will be loved by the Father. (John 14:21)

Obedience expresses our love for God and enables us to experience His love for us.

Have you made that noble request: "Lord, what do You want me to do?
