When turbulent seas of adversity are threatening, we need to remember the awesome power of God. As the seas fled before Him, so too can the obstacles that seem so overwhelming to us. They have no more resistance to God's power than water in a teacup!

God gives to His servants a promise

For when you grow weak in your struggle
His strength will prevail.

Leviticus 19:18

If you want to be a loving person, dont start by taking on the needs of the world. Because we cant do everything, we often dont do anything. Start with cring about one person and build from there. you cant do everything, but you can do something. What you can do, you should do. Today, determine that in the power and grace of God you WILL do it.

Let us be christ's true disciples,
Looking to another's need,
Making stony pathways smoother
by a gentle word or deed

IN A WORLD THAT "COULDNT CARE LESS" WE ARE TO BE PEOPLE WHO COULDNT CARE MORE..

A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow. Proverbs 25:18

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Ex. 20:16

Lord, forgive us for speaking carelessly about other to make ourselves look better. Help us to think before we speak. Teach us to be loving with our words.

fOR God is working in you giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him
Philippians 2:13

Do you desire to please him? When you become a believer by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God begins working in you. He changes your desires from self-seeking to God seeking. When you make a wrong choice or do something that displeases Him, most times you know it immediately. There's uneasiness on the inside of you. You might even feel a little sick to your stomach. Thats because the esire to please God is built inside of you. That feeling is the Spirits gentle conviction that keeps us on the path He has for us.

But notice He didnt just give you the desire to please him, he gave you the power to please him, too. He didnt just call you, He equipped you. Follow that inner propting so that your actions will line up with your heart's desire. And remember, even when you make a mistae, or a setback, God is always ready to help you.

Luke 10:29

Needy people who cross our path become our new neighbors, and we must be a neighbor by helping them. Too often we think of neighbors as related to us by geography. Instead, Jesus indicated that we are to consider anyone in need as a neighbor regardless of who they are or where they live.

Look around. Someone needs your help, mercy and love. They are your new neighbors.

Reach out in Jesus name,
With helping hands of care
To those who are in need
And caught in life's despair

GOOD EXERCISE FOR THE HEART: REACH OUT AND HELP YOUR NEIGHBOR.

Do you recall the last time you tried to change a bad habit?

It wasnt easy... Because you were comfortable with the old way, the new way seemed awkward. That's why we often hesitate to make needed changes. For example, maybe you speak words you shouldnt say. Or are critical instead of helpful.

It takes conscious effort on our part and God's help to change. But for God's glory and our own good we must make the effort. Let's be willing to change.

Father, thank you for your spirit

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

Our life comes from our heart. When we say we have "lost heart" we mean we have lost our zest for life. It is critical we guard our heart against the darkness and against the dark powers of the world because we live and we die according to the condition of our heart. The source of our life is within our heart. Our Saviour, our Lord Jesus, lives within our heart.
To live abundantly, we must be guardians of our heart. We must guard against heartbreak, sadness, and grief. When we experience heartbreak, sadness, and grief we must guard our heart by spending hours in prayer with our Lord Jesus while giving to Him our burdens, cares and woes. When we experience heartbreak we must guard our heart by spending hours giving the Lord thanks for our blessings. It is God's will we should all be free of heartbreak, sadness, and grief. It is God's will we should all live in His joy as we guard our heart by counting our blessings each day. When our life becomes dry and parched, we need only look within our heart for Christ who lives there and in our heart He will bring forth His fountain of living water to give us refreshment and new life.
