Hi everyone,

If Chrissi doesn't answer your suggestions it's because she's very busy this week, but she'll get to them when she can

Thanks!
Amy

Personally I feel that the moderators on a soap site should not take sides when someone writes in their feelings about a soap storyline and then the moderator replys and gives her personal opion. Moderator equals mediation, not expression. Example is this mornings moderator on the Y & R site. (July 31, 2007).
Moderation also spells out maturity.
Thank you, from on with years of experience in mediation.

I think this would be a great idea too!

Quote Plot_Twister: Could we have profiles that go along with our icons so that other posters could know more about us if we wanted them too? Not a banner, just something that you could click on our icon and see a list of certain hobbies and things how long we have been a member that type of stuff? Please? Pretty Please? With a cherry on top?

I think this is a great idea too. I was thinking about birthdays...we get to know people (by screen names and opinions of course), and it would be nice to be able to know when people have a birthday, so we can all wish them a happy birthday. I think it's on the home page, where you can see the actors/actresses birthdays, so isn't there a way that members of this site could have their birthdays pop up too? I know it's too much work for you to check birthdays daily, lol, but I just thought if they could come up automatically.....I have a familylobby site, and wrote down everyone's birthdays in my family. Then when someone has a birthday, it automatically shows up on that page somehow. Just a thought...not trying to make more work for you!

Why can't the writers see that the only person that can play Victoria Newman is Heather Tom. The Newmans are distinct, classy people, and the current Victoria doesn't possess any of that.. She looks like she just came out of the thrift store.... Bring back Heather

Hi,

I believe your question was answered by email. If you posted a thread about Brad, it must not have gone through because I didn't delete one However, if you posted in a thread and it was edited, please point it out to me and I'll take a look. As long as you were following guidelines, your post should've been fine

Hope this helps,
Amy

I'll try to answer your post. As a moderator, I am a poster just like you. I volunteer my time to make sure the guidelines are followed, no spoilers in unmarked threads, no caps in posts, no actor or poster bashing etc. I am not biased when perusing posts as far as infractions are concerned (I do not let posts that contain violations slip by just because they are my point of view). I am however biased in my own opinions which I am allowed to state on the board. As far as taking sides, I am allowed to side with posters opinions as long as I follow the guidelines myself. I respect everyone's opinion even if it may differ from my own and I am allowed to debate points.

While we are mediators to some degree,if posters are bashing back and forth, we step in to illeviate it or contact an editor to take care of the situation, we are also posters and are allowed to post our opinions on storylines. What fun would we have volunteering our time, reading posts and not being able to state how we feel about any given subject.

The mediation you are talking about the person gets paid to be a go between and it is not on a Soap Board. We can be partial to storylines as long as we are not partial to individual posters. Everyone has to follow the guidelines and that is our main concern. I feel all the moderators on this board are mature and do a great job.

Hey Chrissi

There is a poster that seems to be constantly getting personal with other posters. She has habit of getting personal if you disagree with her opinion. Budigebaby, or someting close to that. Just bringing it to your attention, or any the mods attention.

Anyway, hope all is well and will talk to you later . Cheers George

One more thing. In the lounge area, you have a poster name Prowler with a serious attitude. He was great catalyst to the polictical thread about month ago. I have a thread about Michael Irvin and the guy is starting up with personal attacks. I marked the post. With somebody like that posting ,can definitely start ruffled feelings.

Just bringing this your attention. Thanks George
