I have noticed that several boards are doing their own nominations in line with the Emmy's

What would you think if each board did the same nominations - where every poster can vote, then we took the 5 highest scorers, and everyone could lobby for it and get a top winner?

We would have to have the same name (I have my own suggestions on ATWT board) I thinnk it would give our site more cohesion. But you are the boss!

Just and idea - what do you think?

Yes, I would have to agree. This was why we didn't add them in the first place. I think it's a cute idea but it's honestly not really needed. We'll still consider it in June but for now we won't be making any changes.

Have another idea - what if instead of banners etc, we could click on the avatar of the poster and see a bit about them. It would be purely voluntary of course, like where they are from, favorite shows, how long they have been watching...stuff like that.

Maybe there could be a page titled "Couples". There could be a list of all the old and current couples.

Could there be more pictures added to the Daily Updates?

There's a weekly poll on the Y&R page. Maybe there could also be a daily poll.

All great ideas and ones to be considered. I like the click on banner idea but I don't think we're going to go banner routes.

The couples idea is nice but not an easy feat. I will still make note of it for the future. I'm in the middle of writing out what we need for June now! Two months!!

As for photos, that is not possible with many of the shows, because the Editors don't have TV Capture cards in order to capture screen shots.

Daily polls are awesome but for now we're going to continue with daily or twice weekly, depending.

Your writers need to start to think about a new line about Jess and Antonio and Nash, this is getting alittle out of hand. And John and Net, lets get it over with. Put David and Dorian back together again, thats two of a kind.

Chrissi, this is more of a question, than a statement...
Why are so many posts now removed?
and, why, if you remove everything a person has said, do you still leave the empty post?

We've been here since August 2006.

Actually, not a lot of posts are removed. The only posts that are removed are ones that involve a lot of bickering or that really go against the guidelines. The Editors don't have a lot of time to edit each post so sometimes the whole thread goes. It's unfortunate but I don't think it happens that often. In the Days board, I have never needed to delete anything.


Ah... posts are not supposed to be edited due to length at all. I've never requested this and don't think it's needed. You should be able to write a whole long-winded reply if you like. I always do!

One of our ex-moderators used to edit the posts for length to remove the lengthy quotes but I never authorized this. You won't see that happen anymore because that moderator no longer volunteers. That being said, you should always quote just the last person, not five or six people back!
