me earlier this week with my "dilemma" I had about today 6-30. this particularly goes to: image, gommie, Chrissi, plot twister, switzerland, gar2244 and honey106.

Today wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be. They mostly had on the video kids wo were molested and only 2 "people" even tho I want to call them monsters talking about what they did and how they gained the trust of these kids and thier parents. As i was relaying the seminar to my mom ealrier this afternoon, I can't even bring myself to call them "men". No real man does that, esp to a child.
At least they told of the warning signs on how the perps act. Which is very good info to have. I'm definatley glad I had gone. And we were given the chance if things got to be too much for us, we would be able to walk out and take a break. So 'm gald for that, but I stuck it out and went thru it.

Again thanks to everyone to gave me the advice to push on. I'm totally appreciative of it.

Oh!! You did it! I really admire you for going to see the seminar, knowing how much you were concerned about it. I'm also glad it helped some!

Im glad you whent...I know it was hard for you. but if you can help one family, one child. then it was worth it..
just glad your friends could help,when you needed it..

Thanks Chrissi, I have the bad tendancy of making things out to be worse than what they are. (Both my mom and my b/f yell at me for that, they think I'll get ulcer's over the worry.) At least this way I can sit back an laugh about it lateer on how stupid I was to fret over it. Now that I've gotten thru parts one and two of this new "endeavor", I'm still waiting on to hear to submit hte FBI background check form. That I know will be a piece of cake.

That's my thought exactly, thanks Gar. If I could be of help to some chilid to step up and tell them to NOT be afraid to say somethiing to someone so they can put a stop to it. And after going there, I can now see the kid who raped my neighbor (she was 14 at the time), I can put him in oategory. What shocks me the most is you'd figure on the perps being men and or women. NEVER in anyone wildest drems would even think a child molesting another child.

I may not be a parent yet, but it's something that just makes you wnat to go and slap those perps with a huge tree branch for hurting these kids emotionally.

They did mention a few things in regaruds to having this program for the parents as well as for the kids. Only things is, you don't want to scare the kids. Bu then again, maybe that's what's needed for those kids to be on the lookout and be aware of thier surroundings.

OK, I'm getting of my soapbox now.
