For those of you that are interested in what goes through children's minds when they are transgender ... on 20/20 tonight Barbara Walter's is having a special. If your not interested ... that's fine too. But sometimes information is education. You don't have to agree to be informed just opened to listen. I don't know how someone can put something down if they aren't educated about it to know about it.
But her interview is with children that are transgender. It's insightful and thought provoking. I'm not trying to say that anyone should feel this is ok but it's not our life to live. But as the golden rule says ... Do unto others as you would want done unto you. If I had a situation that was not of the "norm" then I'd want someone to listen to me before they judged or disliked me. Don't we all deserve that common courtesy. So, if you're interested tune in or DVR it.

Yea. Only God is the one to say what's wrong when we stand before him. I was fearful to post this because some people might be rude or negative. But, then I realized some people might want to know.
I think we are all God's children no matter what ... color, creed, religion, sexuel preference, or gender assignment. I'm not a bleeding liberal as some might call it. Matter of fact I'm a Republican and believe in all things traditional. However, I do know all things aren't black and white and that the spectrum between the 2 are extremely vast shades of all colors including gray.
I just know there were tooooo many children killing themselves because they felt like they were unloved or weird. No one should feel alienated like that...NO ONE.

Now at the risk of getting your ire up--is this:
"But her interview is with children that are transgender. It's insightful and thought provoking."

OR

Something you know first hand b/c you have witnessed the interview already?

Well that was pretty heartwrenching--those babies all need protection--whatever it takes to provide that for them and allows them to live in peace in a world that is normal for them should be provided...

I'm sincerely glad you enjoyed it. It must be hard as a parent to come to terms with your child carrying such a large burden at such a young age.

I can't begin to imagine the pain and anguish, the suffering they all go through-those parents must want to draw them into a cacoon and protect them from the harshness of life -this is one of those instances where they would be better off if they never grew up--so much heartache and so much innocence--hard one to understand...thanks for making me aware!

i watch the show last night. i found it interesting and amazed that these children at such a young age knew they were in the wrong body and the one father coming to terms with his son wanting to be a girl like his twin sister.

It was so heartbreaking and life is only going to get more and more cruel for them as they grow

Old gray mare

Not to be sterotyping anyone but in my line of work, I have meet plenty of people in this postion. [floral designer] I, myself, believe that people are born this way and it's just a natural thing that occurs. I have many friends "stuck" this way and I love them to pieces!!

and if people we not so nasty and cruel it wouldn't be nearly so bad for them--unfortunately life it not that way--when the little girl broke down last night and cried--ohhhhh tore my heart out--its only going to get worse for them as they get older......
