man some years back they had an incident in Ki Killeen Prayers to all the injured etc... my button is annoying |

Some of our best friends are stationed there, and we can't get ahold of them. We know the chances are slim, but still...I am praying for the loved ones of those killed, and for everyone involved. |

thanks d. We just got word from the wife, who was told her husband was ok but in lock down. She hadn't seen him yet, since no one is allowed to go anywhere. But a very scary time, indeed. I thanked God for blessing them with safety, then prayed some more! |

The leader of the three man team was named MAJOR MALIK NADAL HASAN and he was the primary shooter with TWO HANDGUNS. The other two assaliants are in custody. It is NOT known at this time what the motive is and is NOT believed to be related to POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. The military personnel that were shot 43 altogether, with 12 dead and 31 wounded(I believe) were in a holding area getting ready to de-ploy. TEXAS has a CONCEALED HANDGUN LAW which made it easy for the three soldiers to carry the guns onto the base. FORT HOOD is located in central TEXAS in KILLEEN! |

This sooo reminds me of October 2001 here at Fort Dix Army Base in New Jersey.When the Ssgt pulled a gun out of his locker shot everybody that got in his way. He then ended up stealing a car and drove to a Flea Market in Columbus New Jersey where police barracaded him in and had a shoot out. A friend of mine that's a Mansfield Police Officer was the one that had to shoot him and he died. |

SAM HOUSTON and about 1 1/2 to 2 hours ago several ARMY HELICOPTERS were in the sky, I guess headed to FT. HOOD. FT. HOOD is about 2 hours from SAN ANTONIO by car! |

I had a kick boxing class at the base gym that was cancelled because of the shut down. They even closed down the medical clinic. They suggest go to the emergency room. |

My husband just told me that the huge hospital in TEMPLE is now only open for army personnel from FT. HOOD because of the tragedy and that TEXAS HIGHWAY PATROL & other law enforcement officers are on their way to help secure the perrimeters of FT. HOOD so the army can do their job on the investigation. I knew that FT. HOOD is huge but what I didn't know is that it is the LARGEST ARMY base in the U.S. at over 100,000 acres. Prayers to ALL MILITARY PERSONNEL wherever you are but especially for the ones of base/post at FT. HOOD! |
