It's that time of year when we seem to watch more scary movies. I love scary movies. Excorcist was scary to me. I think I was afraid of my kids for days after I saw the movie.

Psycho - did not want to get in a shower for weeks afterward.
Dracula - the version with Gary Oldman. I actually felt sorry for the vampire.

Scariest - The black and white "Wolfman" series with Lon Chaney, Jr. Lots of fog, mysterious footsteps, and sudden silence from the frogs and crickets in a cemetery filled with crumbling old mausoleums.

The original version of Dracula with Bela Lugosi. Saw that at 15 when I was home alone with the wind rattling things in the house. I actually at with my back against the wall and my feet on the couch, so nothing would grab me from undrneath. Brrr.

I remember when I was about 6 and my bother was 14, he took me to the movies to see Boris Karloff's "The Mummy". I guess I would have to consider that one of the scarriest as well. Only because during the worst and most tense scene, my brother reached over and poked me in the ribs...the snot! Popcorn, milk duds and soda went flying. Not only that, but for days on end, he would walk around, dragging his leg, and frailing his arms as he moved in on me. Brothers are not always all they're cracked up to be, lol!

ABSOLUTELY!

After this movie, I never watched another scary movie except for the comedy ...hated that one.

When I was a young girl I thought the scariest movie was "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane" w/ Bette Davis & Joan Crawford. Also the origional King Kong.....

Night of the Living Dead (the old one) was scary to me. I would have been a young teen I think. It was filmed a few miles from my town and the idea they would be out there at night gave me sleepless times.
