Cats not that I like CNN or msnbc but they covered it off/on all weekend!!
Really God forbid we have 1 news channel that goes after the truth!! If it weren't for Fox Acorn would still be breaking the law!!as well as being unaware of many other news worthy stories other networks ignored!! If I wanted to bury my head in the sand I'd stay in bes 24/7!!
and to answer the other while Fox may have some shows that have individuals(and guests giving their point of view-on both sides) Fox has many news shows that discuss not only events acrooss Our country but the world. WHy don't you check their line up. It's actually funny because up until 2 years ago I was a dem. I even voted for Gore and the dem in the next election(forget his name though ) and then the more I learned the more republican I learned I am!!

Even the MSM is seeing that the way the Obama Admin. is treating Fox News. What right does the Obama Admin. have to declare that it is not a "valid news organization"? What if Bush had made the same statement? The left would have went absolutly nuts! Some of you say that FN is mostly opinion. There are 3 shows that fit that catagory of opinion but the other 21 hours of the day it is hard news. And so what if it is opinion? We have freedom of the press. If he shuts down Fox for being "opinion based" then every editor for every news paper in America should have to yank their op-eds...thats only fair.

I think whats really bothering the Obama Admin here is that Fox has more viewers than all of those other networks combined and the anti-Obama message is spreading like wildfire. You can tell through his rapidly sinking poll numbers. Obama thought that he would get elected and that everyone would automatically fall in line with his agenda. NOT! He is not used to people opposing him and it shows through his little tantrums over Fox News.

Quote cats meow: sundevil, you have shown me a few times that you are an independent thinker and don't blindly follow the right wing crowd, i would like to know, how you ever watched an entire rachael maddow show? i would so love to discuss it with you on this board, i don't watch it everyday, actually, maybe a few of us from both sides could watch it, of course then you would have to pick a program as well, i think it would be so interesting

Cats, I haven't seen the Rachael Maddow show, but I'll be honest, I rarely watch ANY of these shows (including Rush, Hannity, et al) mostly becuase I travel so much for work. I usually get my news in the morning as I'm getting ready for work, then in the evenings I read the news online. For the sake of a good discussion, I'd be more than happy to watch the show with an open mind. When is it on and can you tell me what news station carries her and I'll set my DVR?

UPDATE EDIT:I Googled Rachel Maddow and see she's on MSNBC and I even have the dates and times. I did view a few of her clips and I'll even go so far as to watch an entire show of hers.

thank you, i would very much like your opinion on her show, let me know when you want to DVR it and i will too, maybe we can get a few more posters from both sides to discuss it

If anyone wants an exmaple of what happens when the gov interferes with media, look at the most recent example of Venezuela!

As much as I hate some of the shows on CNN, MSNBC, etc, I WOULD NEVER advocate the gov interfering or even just letting me know its opinion on the station. How can anyone, as much as they hate Fox, be ok with this????

I was never rejuvenated as much as when I saw this story of the other outlets standing together!

The others are democrat or liberal. Fox has people on both sides when they do the news and most shows. I know this because I watch and Im usually yelling at them thru my tv!! Also they go after the stories no one else wants. Were would Acorn be if it weren't for FN and those 2 young adults? Still breaking the law. and there are tons of stories just like it! imo

Fox news was not the only network that carried the Acorn debacle, nor should they receive all the credit for exposing it. IMO.

Of course they were not the only one, eventually, after a week the others finally broke down and reported on what was old news to the rest of us by then, all thanks goes to Fox news..

They ran it first. and the others followed. Thast the way I recall it unfolding but whatever to each their own. Does it matter that we see it differently?( in the long run)? I don't think so.
This whole poltical and his side her side is why politcs are left out of family get togethers!!

CBS is run by the democrats! Is this only when it's fair and balanced news? Unfortunately, it seems every avenue of the news media has taken a side on politics, which cheats the people, because nothing is "fair and balanced" anymore!

Touch, dont forget ABC, NBC, and CNN--all run by Democrats. At least on Fox News you get both sides of the story. On those others, its only the liberal point of view. Thats why Fox says they are fair and balanced. They have 5 networks that are liberal leaning and they choose to go after the 1 network that presents the conservative point of view! Why?? I just dont get it! Is it jealousy because Fox crushes them in ratings on a daily basis????

i don't know, when i watch fox news i never hear two sides of any story, ever, i just hear republician opinions, and i am not saying liberal stations aren't guilty of that too, i hear much more shouting on fox news, as if saying it louder, makes it true, i have seen hosts on fox news, hang up on guests, i have not seen that anywhere else, i just don't see it as a news show

As I have said before, there are 3 shows on Fox News that can be described as opinion based, Beck, O'Reilly and Hannity. The other 21 hours of the day, its hard news. I dont think anyone can claim Greta Van Sustern as being opinion based. She is to the point and very fair and balanced.

cats- every time I watch Fox, they have a Republican commentator and a Democratic commentator. Both sides of the argument are presented. Yes, it gets heated every now and then, but that goes for both sides.
