The White House Celebrates Hispanic Musical heritage

The third in a music series launched by first lady Michelle Obama to celebrate various genres of music. Jazz and country music events, with workshop for music students, have been held. Classical music is on tap for Nov. 4.

Mmmmm...check out some of the menu: Cuban roast pork, Puerto Rican pasteles, Argentine beef empanadas with red chimichurri, Guatemalan slaw and chocolate-cheese flan with hibiscus sauce.

Some of the musica guests were: Gloria Estefan, George Lopez, the Bachata music group Aventura, Jose Feliciano, Sheila E., and more!

The party was taped Tuesday night but it will air on PBS on Thursday (10/13) and Saturday on Telemundo.

I think there are some youtube videos of Jennifer Lopez dancing with the Obamas on stage...MAN, I missed a good party!

Did anybody watch this? LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!!!! OMG - - have always loved Jennifer Lopez and think Mark Anthony is one of the sexiest and best Latin singers. He sang my favorite songs tonight - - "Tell me baby, I need to know" So glad I taped it - -

George Lopez was a hoot with his jokes about Mexicans coming over the boarder....

Gloria Estefan is a love. I lived in Miami during and after Hurricane Andrew and she did a concert for all of us that raised three million dollars for our relief - - and believe me, we needed it.

Just loved this show - - hope some of you got to see it.
