Quote cats meow: Prevent soil from draining out of flowerpots. When repotting, place a filter at the bottom, over the drainage hole, then add the soil

if you have cork in a bottle of wine, place a coffee filter over the bottle when you pour

Never thought to use a filter but I have always used rocks in the bottom of my pots. My hubby uses a wet paper towel to wrap the ROMAINE lettuce after he has cut it and prepared it for salads. By wraping the lettuce in the wet paper towel and then placing it in a plastic bag it will stay perfectly fresh and not get any of the black on it. Also if you drink some red wine with dinner or have some left over after a party re-cork it and save it for cooking for a marinade. i often use red wine in with can of beer, hot sause, pickled jalepenos, olive oil or kraft Italian dressing, and limes for my fajita marinade. It is better if you do it overnight and always buy skirt steak it is much cheaper and what true TEX-MEX cafes use! Hope these help! Thanks ladies for all the helpful hints and can't wait to try them.

this will protect the e mail addresses of your friends when you want to forward something

that is one of the few things i know how to do, copy the message, go to compose, hit paste in the body, send it back to yourself and blind copy everyone else you are sending it to, or hit forward, highlight who sent it to you, hit delete, then send

Also, to make it easier, if it is a video or clip you want to forward, all you have to do is copy the http link and paste it into a new email.

I found a great way to get rid of swarming ants in your cupboards or elsewhere. By mistake, I grabbed a can of ENDDUST thinking I had ant spray. My goodness, that stuff did the job ten times better than toxic pest sprays. They literally 'bit the dust' in seconds. Careful about spraying directly on concrete or stone tho, it will discolor.

Endust? Is that a furniture spray? I have seen it and never bought it.

Quote Sunnydaz: For a year now, since i bought my laptop i have not been able to copy and paste anything on this site. Everywhere else i travel in cyberspace, no problem. Like links to other websites such as youtube links i couldnt copy because when i tried it would copy the whole page not just the link. I couldnt for the life of me figure out why this was. So a long time ago i started a thread asking for help. No one but me seemed to have this trouble. Even admin tried to help me with no success.

I FINALLY figured out what was wrong. I went to tools, clicked on compatibility view settings, and added soaps.com in the box provided. Thats all i had to do!!!!

Reason i am posting this is incase anyone else is having this problem, hopefully this will be of some help.

Gr8 thread btw

Yeeess! It worked. Thank you soooo much!

Here's one a reader wrote into HINTS from HELOISE! After she washes & dries a sheet set she will then place the folded 2 sheets(top & fitted & 1 pillowcase) into the other(or remaining if there are 4 total pillowcases)pillowcase and that way all the sheet sets stay together in her cabinets. I thought this way a great hint for people who have several sheet sets, hope it helps!
