HELPFUL HINTS for POSTERS!

How about we all help each other with hints. This will be for us to give and recieve hints to help all. If you have a helpful hint place it here, or if you have a question maybe one of us could help you. I'll start, Iv'e already given this one in another thread but I'll give it again. Instead of using birdseed for wild birds that is TWICE as expensive I buy chicken scratch and deer corn from the feed store to feed the birds and squirrels. I also place them in plastic containers with lids(that will hold up to 25lbs. of scratch and 10lbs. of corn, they are kept in the green house and sealed so the squirrels can't get to them. I know many of ya'll use this hint. If ya'll have more than one dog and buy large amounts of dog food at a time(40lbs. or so)then it is really easy to just store it in a plastic garbage can and use a large scoop for the dogs and if the dogs don't finish the food or you have unexpected guests, you can just pick up the bowls food and all and put it in their container. I also use glass containers instead of plastic or ceramic containers for flour, sugar etc. They are sealed with a lid and air tight wire cannister kin of like a jar for canning but much much larger. It is really nice because you know what you are pulling out of the cupboards. I do have several types of flor but they are labeled on the bottom. Also use these for some dryed goods like pinto, red, kidney, butter beans, popcorn, brown sugar, and brown rice just to name a few. Hope some of these hints can help. Do any of ya'll have some hints for the rest of us, or does anyone have a question? FEEDBACK, please!

For a year now, since i bought my laptop i have not been able to copy and paste anything on this site. Everywhere else i travel in cyberspace, no problem. Like links to other websites such as youtube links i couldnt copy because when i tried it would copy the whole page not just the link. I couldnt for the life of me figure out why this was. So a long time ago i started a thread asking for help. No one but me seemed to have this trouble. Even admin tried to help me with no success.

I FINALLY figured out what was wrong. I went to tools, clicked on compatibility view settings, and added soaps.com in the box provided. Thats all i had to do!!!!

Reason i am posting this is incase anyone else is having this problem, hopefully this will be of some help.

Gr8 thread btw

before you place a votive candle in it's holder, put a little bit of water in it, that helps prevent the wax from sticking to the holder

put your tapers in the freezer so they won't drip when you light them

WOW, SUNNY & CATS both great, great hints/tips. CATS, love the one about putting tapers in the freezer, but do you know HOW I can get tapers to stay upright. Almost all of them do BUT once in a blue moon I will have one that will fall out of the candle holders. I have mostly silver or crystal holders and really don't think it's the holders, maybe it is the heat. I have tried using hot candle wax to seal and even the sticky items that are specifically for that purpose. Suggestions? And SUNNY thanks so much for the compliment. Talk to ya'll later!

tea tree oil - you can use it for every small ailment. Mix it with neosporin for a cut, gargle with it for a sore throat, dab it on blemishes...it smells really bad tho, so use it when you are NOT about to be with company

If a small child has a sore throat, a nurse once told me to mix half maalox/pepto (something mild and thick) with half of their couhg syrup. The maalox/pepto part keeps the syrup ciated to their throat longer

vinegar is great for taking the smell out of stinky clothes - throw about a cup in with the stinky wash

And I read of you have an ant problem on an animal feeder, sprinkle cinammon or soapy water around the base- supposedly they hate it and won't cross it

I simply passed over reading any links that were too long...I'm sure I missed out of some good stuff. This seriously drove me crazy because I thought it was just my computer. Thanks again...

I'm sure most of you know this already: If I see a picture, an avi (avatar) that someone has on the board (or any board) and I like it, just "right" click on the pic, click "save picture as" and save it in your picture folder.

When you change your avi, you can select one on the screen or click on browse and go pick a pic from your picture folder.
