Quote alane70: It's odd that some of the same posters who ask questions like 'How can you hate Obama so much...where does all this hate come from?' are directing incredible venom toward a private citizen who has made a lot of money using the talent God gave him. No one forces you to listen to Rush - but millions choose to listen to him everyday. Obama is a public official whose decisions affect everyone whether they voted for him or not; this is not the case with Rush.

He made his money honestly doing what he loves to do, & if he wants to buy an NFL team, good for him. It doesn't affect any of you nearly as much as the terrible decisions Obama makes every day affect me.

Exactly- there is so much hatred on the liberal left it is astounding to me-it's the same kind of hatred that was aimed at sarah palin-

Apparently, if Rush excepts, then it isn't beneath him! Wouldn't one want their nobel HERO to feel that NOTHING is beneath him? kind of like the great, humble, accepting, and all-knowing one of the universe.

More Limwaste quotes for ya CatsMeow--

Racist Ones:

"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed."

"I mean, let's face it, we didn't have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I'm not saying we should bring it back; I'm just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark."

Misogynistic ones:

"Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream."

"She comes to me when she wants to be fed. And after I feed her -- guess what -- she's off to wherever she wants to be in the house, until the next time she gets hungry. She's smart enough to know she can't feed herself. She's actually a very smart cat. She gets loved. She gets adoration. She gets petted. She gets fed. And she doesn't have to do anything for it, which is why I say this cat's taught me more about women, than anything my whole life."

And this quote is about Michael J. Fox:

"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. ... This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting." --on an ad by Michael J. Fox endorsing Claire McCaskill for Senate for supporting embryonic stem cell research."

What a waste of human space this pig is! He offends anyone--WOMEN, disabled, Blacks, immigrants, etc...even his own cat! He is not a critical darling...he is the retardation of critical thinking.

I don't know what I'm called. I never considered myself liberal or left. I just don't like hate mongers from any side of an issue. Especially from one who will not usually back up his hateful and accusatory rhetoric with solid facts and actual certifiable accounts as any GOOD reporter or analyist would do. Of course, noone ever described Rush as a reporter, much less a GOOD one. He is merely an opinionaire. If people agree with his opinions, fine - if they don't, it doesn't make them left/liberal or anything else - of course Rush is convinced his detractors are something he needs to wipe off the bottom of his very expensive Gucci's.

I just think this is really a moot point and that he will NOT ever become an owner of a pro football team, not even the lowly RAIDERS! He won't be approved to buy them, and he would probably want to move them to FLORIDA, which the league wouldn't approve of. JMO

I think that was what I was trying to say! Hypocrisy and bigotry offer no political positions other than just what they are. I wouldn't even consider Rush much of a representative of Republicans or a Conservatives. He's just a well-paid wind bag who has the enviable position of getting paid to shoot of his ugly mouth.

Quote cats meow: those of you who worship limbaugh, please tell what you think of my post #2?

Cats we had a discussion to agree to disagree, so with that in mind I hope you won't be offended by my comment.

I know you wanted a comment on the quotes and I will have to agree with Gommie...what was said before the quote's is very relevent. Anything anyone says can be scrutonized.

posting to keep this tread civil...and discussion is always good!

i appreciate the way you always respond, we may disagree but we never get nasty
i don't understand how posters can refuse to believe a quote, a quote is a quote, i myself heard him discussing the football quarterback, this guy is an entertainer, and a good one at that, he is making money just spewing the same hate every day
this is not directed at you but i need to ask all those posters who accuse us of never listening to rush
how many of you listen to rachael maddow??

Do we really want to get into a discussion about how a PAST PRESIDENT was ELECTED?

The other NFL owners would still have to approve it.
