I know you wanted a comment on the quotes and I will have to agree with Gommie...what was said before the quote's is very relevent. First of all living in SAN ANTONIO I would like to comment on RUSH'S announcement after the RON ARTEST going into the stands of NOVEMBER of 2004. He said that it wasn't the NBA but the TBA and it stood for THUG BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION, and stop calling them teams. Call 'em gangs. That is a very flawed STEREOTYPE. The championship team that year was won by the SAN ANTONIO SPURS, a team that does NOT have players who are arrested,go into stands after fans, or are accused convicted of crimes. That sort of behavior does NOT happen to the majority of professional athletes. That being said would players want to play for him after his racist, inflammatory remarks, some probably would, I think MORE than what many realize because it is BUSINESS and many athletes can separate BUSINESS from POLITICS. BUT would rich conservative owners vote to approve RUSH as an OWNER. I really don't think so because the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE has been sensitive to controversey before. For example, Arizona lost the 1992 Super Bowl bid when the state chose "not" to celebrate MLK birthday as a federal holiday. So, would the other owners want someone who polorizes the country with seemingly every statement? Would they want someone who alienates not only the players, but a segment of the ticket buying public? Al Sharpton sent a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday. He said Limbaugh has been divisive and "anti-NFL" in some of his comments. |

The players may be thinking about paychecks, but please believe me, Rush isn't forking over millions of dollars for the heck of it himself. Rush enjoys his paycheck! I don't care what he does as long as I don't have to look at his ugly face, or listen to his ugly and hateful words and half truths. He reminds me of a fat, hungry rat! |

It's odd that some of the same posters who ask questions like 'How can you hate Obama so much...where does all this hate come from?' are directing incredible venom toward a private citizen who has made a lot of money using the talent God gave him. No one forces you to listen to Rush - but millions choose to listen to him everyday. Obama is a public official whose decisions affect everyone whether they voted for him or not; this is not the case with Rush. |

He is a disgusting rat ITA...so full of darkness and worthlessness, both inside and out...you can hear the desperation of having no peace or true happiness in his life in his voice...he's cutting his life short with the hate he dishes out and surrounds himself with, and I will be not surprised at all to hear him croaking from pills/booze/etc. Just truly...a waste of human space. |
