Ok, I have NEVER watched this show but I did hear about this on the TODAY SHOW. This JON GOSLING dude and his soon to be ex-wife have have a reality show.( for a couple of years) The couple are getting a divorce or have just split up with the dude going all mid-life crisis and having affairs. They are splattered all over the "rags" and now the dude wants to stop production of the new season because the network is pretty much leaving him out of the show and his "widdle" feelings are hurt or could it be his pocketbook? He has deceided that the children(eight kids)should NOT be exposed to the constant media attention and the cameras as it will harm them. Now, he thinks this after how many years of programming. This guy is a piece of work. What do ya'll think or do you even care?

Bottom line he's an Arse!! If Kate wants to continue the show or do something else I wish her the best and for him!! I hope he wakes up from his midlife crisis and realizes just how royaly he f@#$%D up!! I actually do watch the show, It's actually not bad, Kate likes everything jut so I wonder how she'd deal with my adhd son, or my drama queen daughter(Alot like Maddie). sorry for my rant! !

Oh say it isn't so!

Just saw the advertisement for a new reality show. It is called "My Monkey Baby". Gonna premere Sunday night on TLC. It is about a woman who has a monkey that she treats like her baby. Really cute monkey and it would be cute to watch but have they finally run out of reality subjects. I think I will tune in.

Good thing I watch ABc until 1100, and then HGTV(for houses I'll never own and then on to Army wives!!

Jon is a douche. Actually Jon wanted out of his contract with TLC! (He is starting his own reality show with another network.) From what I read he just has some conditions for his children that have not been met by either TLC or Kate:

1. They have to file with the Pennsylvania Child Labor Board for the children to be on the show.
2. He wants the children to get their cut of the program $$$$$! Apparently the 8 kids have not been given their fair share in for a child actor trust set up in each of their names. And he wants them backpayed for the last 4 years of the show.

My other opinion is he's wanting to cut Kate off and just plain hurt her where it counts. They are both scum in my eyes and think this is the first sign of a really NASTY divorce. I guess Kate shouldn't have gotten rid of his dogs for starters...................

never aw the show either, the man is 32 and he is having a mid life crisis?? so far all he has been doing is running around with young women and having the time of his life, i wonder if he has ever worked a day in his life
these reality shows are getting worse and worse, i feel sorry for good actors who are not working because of this absurd
type of entertainment

I think the timing is pretty ironic, since like the day before TLC changed the name of the show to Kate Plus Eight. But I don't know that it matters. I think Jon has wanted out for some time now. I agree with him, it probably is time to stop the show for good. Divorce is hard on kids. My former boss used to say it's hardest on the kids who are the twins' age, like 9-11ish. Little kids and older kids do better, but the middle-age kids struggle with divorce the most. That makes sense to me, because it seems like Maddie and Cara are having issues (no big surprise for Maddie but it is a surprise for Cara.) I just wish those kids the best because they are the cause of absolutely none of this.

Joh is a selfish pig and I hope karma bites him in the butt. If he's doing his own show, I can only hope and pray that its a flop. People get divorces, but he didn't need to throw it in Kate's face the way he did. We don't know what kind of wife she was but if he was unhappy, he could have left with dignity and thought about his children more than he has.

Shut down the production of this crappy show, handle your personal business in private, and get back to a normal life---without that witch Kate!

Ya Jon you go and do that so the kids can be on your show and Kate won't make a dime!! All he wants is $$ He's an arse!!

I do not watch the show, but like most have to deal with it in everyday news programming!!!

My opinion is that he lost his money train so now he decides that Kate cannot get any money to help support her kids, because it sure doesn't look like he is giving her any child support!!!
