Yoga and vodka....not necessarily in that order! |

Quote Sundevil98: Yoga and vodka....not necessarily in that order! it's funny how you mentioned that. I was running on the treadmill one day, and be4 hand I had two glasses of wine, let me tell you I took a glance at myself in the mirror, and let me tell you where my butt landed on the floor. I lost my footing and fell, serves me right! I couldn't help but laugh at myself. What kind of yoga do you do. My husband likes hot yoga. I've never really gotten into it, but hubby swears by it.

I actually take a body sculpting class on Tuesday, yoga on Wednesday and Sunday and a cardio class on Thursday. I've been doing yoga for a few years but I don't do hot yoga or any of the advanced classes (I live in Phoenix, so walking to my car in the summer is like doing hot yoga). I do intermediate yoga, and on Sunday the class is called YIN. Its not a lot of poses, but you hold one pose for 3-4 minutes. It really opens your joints and helps you relax. You should go with your husband to try it out. If you don't like the hot yoga though, you really should try a regular yoga class - there are quite a few runners in our class. One girl in last night's class is running a 50 mile marathon...I can't even imagine running a mile, much less 50. |

Quote Sundevil98: Yeah I've been thinking about trying yoga, and all the benefits you mentioned it gaves, I've heard as well. If I did happen to fun 50 mile marathon, I'd be dead after. after that I'd for sure need a drink, but only after not be4. Who knows where I'd end up. LOL. It is quite beautiful in Phoneix, i've taken hubby there once as a b-day gift, and we golfed. Great weather year round.

Now that's a sport that doesn't make me relax. I LOVE the game but I get so stressed when I play. Need some work on my short game. |

I too am past the kids at home. But I work full time and some days are busy and stressful. |

Quote PineValley_Breeze_: I too am past the kids at home. But I work full time and some days are busy and stressful. I feel it in my lower back and my hip. A nice HOT bubble bath and a glass of wine. plus some soothing music will help me to relax. Late at night just before you go to bed. Get out of the tub and dry off. When you crawl under the sheets you go to sleep like a baby. That sounds heavenly! I will have to try that....after the kids go to bed otherwise if I try it when they are awake..they inevitably will have to use the bathroom at least twice..LOL |
