Quote KC11: Today the weather was great! It was about 95 degrees. Yep we're still swimming and walking around in shorts around here. Sorry to hear about the mid-west and the east coast in some areas. The record high this summer was 116 degrees but with air condition no one really complains. The record low in Dec is 39 degress but the average low the past few years is about 63. SAN ANTONIO had a high of 108 degrees but we did have a RECORD 45 days this summer with days of OVER 100 degrees, the old record was 29 days set in 1998. We have been under a pretty severe draught and have been in stage 2 water restrictions for over 6 months now(I believe it might be shorter or longer, can't rememeber). We have been lucky since SEPTEMBER started and have received over 5 inches of rain, thank you LORD. Sunday was 96 degrees and today we expect in the low 90's with some rain this weekend and cooler temperatures on FRIDAY with a small front coming. We usually do NOT have much of a winter with a few days in the teens in mid-to-late MARCH or early APRIL. |

Quote KC11: Clicquot1, It sounds like you get a lot of humidity. Is it a little humid there? Yes, indeed it is VERY HUMID. Good thing for air conditioners, lakes, rivers, and pools. I have always heard that not only is the weather great in ARIZONIA but the state is beautiful and the people are very friendly. I was rooting for the CARDNALS in the SUPER BOWL. Of course, I'm a COWBOY fan but do like other teams. |

Quote puddycat: Quote wannazach: Quote puddycat: I notice in many posts that you all mention the weather and sometimes I wonder - - how can that be? Of course I realize we are all in different states and even countries, but just wanted to see if anyone wants to share about their present weather. I am in Jacksonville, Florida. The weather here is a pain in the arz - - we just went through a horrible summer with temperatures up close to 99 degrees (which I know some of you all get higher) - - but the problem here is that we never seem to get a Fall. It was 93 degrees yesterday and tomorrow it is supposed to be 54 in the morning. We go from air conditioning to heat, without much time to just open windows and enjoy. Quite frustrating, but only on the electic bill! Waiting to hear somebody tell me I should enjoy and not complain, compared to where you are! Share? Oh I won't tell you not to complain because I think most of us do. Here in NC we went straight from summer to two weeks of rain and then here is Fall and chilly. It does get really pretty in Fall as the leaves turn. I do want some snow this year so I had better like the cold. But complain complain complain but what can we do? My sister lived in Charlotte, NC for 10 years and I visited there - - my parents (before they passed) had a house up in Little Switerland, and I visited both of these places for many years. I remember when I was living in Miami, my dear Dad and Mom brought me some of the leaves in a plastic bag, that had just turned, because they knew how much I loved it. North Carolina is beautiful and if I had to make a choice of where I would live next - - it would be NC. So what's the temperature there now? Here in sunny Jacksonville, Florida it is 68! You mentioned Little Switzerland. We go there evey year and stay at one of the bed and breakfast inns and you're right, it is beautiful. It's not but @ 3 hours from where we live. The temperature where I'm at in NC is mid 60's now with upper 40's predicted for tonight. Love it, my favorite time of year. |

Gosh, we even have 5 casinos nearby. LOL! I really don't gamble but I do love Karyoke night. Someday, I do want to visit Dallas. Let me stop rambling ...I guess I'll hit the sack. |
