I just feel very sorry for the woman who is going to be victimized all over again to bring about justice. To splatter her all over the media again just to have him spend some time in jail is injustice in my eyes. |

would be nice if they could use the grand jury testimony, he should spend the rest of his life in jail, i am pretty sure this child was not the first one he raped |

Quote cats meow: would be nice if they could use the grand jury testimony, he should spend the rest of his life in jail, i am pretty sure this child was not the first one he raped editing to say, now that i think about it, there is no need for another trial, he was found guilty, he needs to pay for his crime, i don't believe that andrew luster, the max factor heir that drugged, raped, and videoed, his victims had another trial when he was caught, he just went to prison i remember he was caught in mexico by dog the bounty hunter I hope she, the victim, is spared the trial for the reasons yo stated. But you know the media...her life and what she went through will be splashed all over the media. If she has children they will become victims too...her husband and her parents. Ridiculous Who really gets punished here? She does. |

The ARROGANCE of this man is disgusting. The man has to be extradited first, and he is still fighting it. Throw the book at him NOT only for the lewd behavior, plying of a minor with drink & drugs, but the sodomy of this poor victim. I do not know the circumstances of the "settlement" with the victim and I really don't care(if she got compensation for her pain & suffering, well so what) because she was treated horribly by this man and by the HOLLYWOOD media. I'm really SICK of hearing about his talent as a producer, what happened to his parents in the HOLOCAUST, and lastly the horrible tragedy of SHARON TATE & their baby because that is something entirely DIFFERENT than the crimes committed against this woman. What happened was NOT her fault she was a child when this happened and even if she HAD been an adult if she said NO, it is STILL RAPE! I feel sorry for her too but she is a strong woman because she FORGAVE him and to do that she is healing. Forgiveness is a part of recovery. I'm with you cats, I do believe this has been done to other young girls and we just have never heard about it. I hope they THROW the BOOK at him. Oreo, unfortunately the way our system is set up the VICTIM of a crime of rape is OFTEN VICTIMIZED all over again, especially in the media, or the courtroom when their past or behavior is often put on "trial" instead of the perpetrator. We have seen this many times especially in the case of KOBE BRYANT(I'm not saying he is guilty)but when you have enough money in this country you can get away with murder!(CLAUS VON BULLO, T.CULLEN DAVIS just to name two)ROMAN POLANSKI is very wealthy. Does that give him the right to get away with this crime and JUMPING bail. Well, they got ANDREW LUSTER(yea, one for the good guys). End of rant! |

IMO...this is probably not the first time he has gone to Switzerland over the years, so why would a U.S. request to detain him be issued this year? I don't know the history of how many times, if any, the Swiss government were notified to turn Polanski in, but if he has come and gone over the years, you have to question the timing and the motive. |

Osprey apparently several other times that RP made his way to Switzerland he was appartently tipped off(authorities do NOT know the source as of yet but are investigating)and because of this he was able to elude the authorities. |

i hate the thought of the woman having to go thru anything again, but maybe it's time to put a face on that little girl, i just want justice for her |

Not doing their job for 32 years is criminal...just cause they are running out of Gotti's to capture and can't capture Osama Bin Ladin this woman has to suffer? OK |

Quote Oreo123: Not doing their job for 32 years is criminal...just cause they are running out of Gotti's to capture and can't capture Osama Bin Ladin this woman has to suffer? OK ROMAN POLANSKI was repeatidly tipped off by someone close to the investigation throughtout the years. That is one of the many reasons why he has been difficult to catch in Switzerland. The fact that he is a French citizen, a country that the U.S. has NO extradition treaty with is very telling. The judge in the case either made a HUGE MISTAKE when his passport was not confiscated or he was able to obtain another one easily because of his wealth. Perhaps he exited thru Mexico or Canada. The fact that he thinks so "little" of our laws are another reason he should be thrown in jail where he can find out what criminals think of child molesters. He was wanted by the state of CALIFORNIA not by the federal government, CIA, military, F.B.I. or Homeland Security. Many different aggencies for many different types of criminals, mafiaoso's, and terrorists. I guess you were being sarcastic because it is hard to tell when posting. |

Great post and I might add that the "celebrities" that are defending him should also be held criminal..they went to all the "awards" given to him in other countries and felt no obligation toward our laws either, They celebrated the man and apparently still do. As far as the Victim, I am very happy that she moved on in her life is married and has children. |

I am keeping track of all the celebs who are defending this piece, and I will never be giving them my money again. For example, Steven Spielberg? No more. Easy as pie for me. If I was internet savvy, I would start a website listing all these other pieces who are defending this...insert worst name here. |

I'm not one to boycott, but when someone's freedom is infringed on, when they cannot even control who does what to their own body...IDK, I think this warrants a boycott. Some that I remember are as follows:HARRISON FORD, PETER BOGDONIVICH,DAVID LYNCH, STEVEN SPIELBERG, WHOOPI GOLDBERG, BARBARA WALTERS(I think), and of course WOODY ALLEN! |

I agree with you lovesit..that does warrent a boycott...just remember who is supporting them don't ever forget. These celebrities are CRAP! No matter how they try to back spin what they said. Whoopie Goldberg for example..she said the girl wasn't raped raped, then she tried to clear it up by saying something like he wasn't accused of rape it was unlawful sex with a minor.....hmm sounds like rape to me. |

She really mad me angry but JOY & SHERRI sure gave it to her! ANYTIME A WOMAN or CHILD SAYS NO! it is RAPE and a CHILD under the age of consent which in most states is either 17 or 18 cannot give their consent and that is why it is called STATATORY RAPE even if they were to say yes, which she did NOT and she was given champagne and a QUALUDE! DISGUSTING of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
