OT: Flying your pets

If you had a choice between flying your pet on an airplane in the cargo/luggage area or on a plane with other pets, which one would you chose? Thanks in advance... |

No question- I would NEVER have my pets fly in cargo-ever-and most likely not the other way either-that's just me- my next door neighbor is thinking of flying his smarty jones from Louisiana to LAX using the pet flyer airlines-- I know a lady who goes to Mass., to spend summers- she fly's and she pays someone to drive her three dogs -- LOL |

My breeder is in Reno Nevada. The last pups we got from her was 4 years ago and she flew them with the other pets. They had a 2 hour lay over in Dallas so she put their picture on one whole side of the crate and wrote "Please take care of us. This is the first time we have flown". She put bottled water and some food in the crate. When they were at Dallas they were fed and watered. We kept up with their every move on line with the tracking number. It was 2 am when they got to Atlanta and we had a time getting them. The lady at the airport told us we had better get them out of there cause she was getting ready to take them home with her. |

That was my experience wanna- I was at LAX in luggage when they opened a crate to find a dead dog- I will never,ever for get that- it was so heartbreaking to think of that poor guy and how he must have suffered--
