2009 Movies Question

I have a question about all the movies you have seen this year (by Title) and how you would rate them on a scale of 1-4.

Edit: The reason I ask is that a dear friend of mine is a voting member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences and works in the movie industry. I do all his academy paperwork for him coordinating with the various movie studios. I'm just curious what the general public feels about the current crop of 2009 movies.

Gosh Mr. Shirley, looks like no one else has either. Guess this isn't a poll that many people can comment on!

I think it is the economy now. I know, personally, I haven't been able to afford to go to a move in decades! I just wait for it to come on television or pay-per-view.

Yeah, admission price plus a bag of popcorn and a soft drink can set a person back $18.00 or more. At the end of the year, they will probably come out with the actual attendance figures for 2009. I wouldn't be surprised to see a drop.

I saw Inglorious Basterds and would rate it at a 2.5. Brad Pitt was funny which is the only reason I rated it as high as I did. I liked a lot of Tarentino's other movies, but this was not one of his better ones. The middle of the movie got a little sleepy for me.

The Proposal - I would rate it a 3.5...it was a funny movie.

The Ugly Truth - would rate probably a 3, just because I liked The Proposal more.

I don't like the scale of 1-4 -doesn't give much to work with because I really liked The Ugly Truth and the Proposal its just a matter of liking The Proposal more.

Star Trek, I was surprised how much I liked that movie, and I don't like Star Trek. I would probably give it a 3 as well.

Transformers - probably a 2.5, I love Transformers but I wasn't in to how much "lovey" scenes were in it - kind of ruined the point of it - to me.

Taken - probably a 2

Fast and Furious - I would say a 3.5 - probably the best out of the series, besides the first one.

Terminator 4 - I would say a 2, I guess I really didn't follow it really well.

---------------

That's all I can think of right now...I pretty much liked all those movies I saw - ask me again when New Moon comes out!
