Exactly, wanna - - he was found hanging, as the man who found him, Jerry Weaver, described. I did not see any photographs, did not know they had released any, but the television reports showed pictures of him, Bill Sparkman, while he was alive - - a partime census worker.

That is such a pitiful way to die. I can't imagine how his family is coping. Being a part time employee of the goverment he had no pension or anything and I think he was only part time teaching. I hope the family will be taken care of financially as well as emotionally.

I would agree with you in any other state except Kentucky. Kentucky is a coal mining state and farming state and the people there a lot of them are still from the hills and aren't very educated, i don't live but about 100 miles from the state of Kentucky and have been there many many times and the people there aren't too nice when you meet them on the streets, you speak to them and they just grunt at you and go on. I am not saying all parts of Kentucky are like this but most are.

And yes there are people here that don't have alot but you will find that every where you go not just here in KY. My grandfather was a coal miner and I am PROUD of him for that. Our miners work their butts off to support their families. Miners here get paid a HECK of alot. Just because you are a miner doesn't mean you don't have an education. My uncle is the boss at a mines here. Coal mining is what keeps our state running. Without our miners we wouldn't have the electricity to be sitting her chatting with you people. Shirley,,,,,we have posted together here and on other sites and I always thought you were a farmer yourself. Does that mean that you are uneducated? I knew when I saw this thread something like this would be posted but I never imagined it to come from someone like you MR.... I am really hurt by your remark...
