First of all, there is no way Obama did not know what is going on with ACORN....the White House knows about everything that is said in the news. And if he truely does not know about it, how scary is that? The President should be informed about what is going on in his own country.

This was just an attempt at downplay because the President has been closley associated with ACORN in the past. Now that they are under a microscope, they are radioactive to him. He wants nothing to do with them. Politics as usual...no change here.

BTW, just reading through the other posts, there are somethings that need to be cleared up:

ACORN may have not received 8.5 Billion yet, but thats what they were going to receive before this scandle broke. That money was to come from the Obama stimulus package. (Obama had no qualms about giving money to them before this scandle broke because ACORN helped him get elected...tit for tat? Again no change here...politics as usual)

And while there have not been 30 convictions for voter fraud, the number of convictions plus those under indictment equals 30. These cases are in multiple states.

The facts are as I presented them- AND if you have any interest at all in the truth, you will find it here-

I certainly am interested in truth and facts, not right wing editorials(an editorial is an opinion)...here's my link:

I guess we each have our own reading material-I'll stick to mine- one day, the things that are going on in our country will become quite clear to everyone-I hope I am on the side that loses-it will be quite interesting to revisit all the political issues that have been posted here over the past year-
Again,I think the whole point of this thread is being ignored-

"During his question and answer period with George Stephanopoulos, Mr. President replied when asked about ACORN. "Frankly, it's not really something I've followed closely,"I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money." Mr. President looked uninformed, unaware, and ignorant of what has been going on."[/quote]

I find it both funny and telling that even though I knew that I would not agree with the opinion in the link you provided...I still read it. Your unwillingness to even investiagte another viewpoint makes me wonder....
As for revisted the viewpoints expressed here in the past year...is this meant to imply that the end of the world as we know it is approaching? Or are you suggesting that somehow you are more informed then some of us?
If that's the case, I find your unwillingness to investigate different sources perplexing for someone who is so well informed.

By his own admission during the campaign obama said he had worked side by side with ACORN since the beginning of his career- the one major thing that qualified him for the presidency-I have been reading about ACORN corruption for 10 years at least and probably more--Yes, they were to receive 8.5 billion from the stimulus package-Acorn was obama's largest contributor during the campaign- I believe he is lying about having 'no knowledge' of ACORN'S latest corruption-and if he is not lying Americans all better be paying attention to that too-

Quote lovesit: gommie - You know I loathe ALL of his political policies, but I think he is doing what most presidents would do – DENY, DENY, DENY. But in this case, it is more obvious. The man spouts speeches every second and does his finest to appear knowledgeable and forthcoming, and all of a sudden he has no idea? Puh-leeaaze.

I have been aware of this activist group for years, as I’m sure you have. For those years, the reportings on them were always discounted as “right-wing nutballs” making controversy on this poor group trying to help the minorities of the world, especially when BO was campaigning and all of his ties were exposed.
But really, are you surprised? If this nation is willing to forgive all of BO’s other terrorist friends, why should we not forgive and move on from ACORN?

What sucks is that for the good this group actually does, they have lost so much trust from society. It is so easy to lose trust as an organization, and hardly ever do you get it back, well, if you are a conservative group, at least.

Maybe so lovesit- I don't know - I just know about the one we have today-and it scares the heck out of me-I am sure ACORN has done many good things- ______________

8 billlion in federal funds
30 convictions for voter fraud
the leader embezzled millions and was only replaced this year.
Obama was an organizer for ACORN.
Do you remember posting any of those things as fact?
Those are all shown to not be the entire truth

I wonder how disagreeing with someone and posting an alternative opinion can be considered a bad post? Did I "bash" anyone? Call names? No...just staed my own opinion, and provided a news program interview with the head of ACORN to substaniate my viewpoint and opinion. How is that against guidelines? How does that make for a bad post? Hmmmmm.............

gommie:

Absolutely I do and I stand behind them- it's obvious to me that the issue that was the reason for this thread will not be addressed- so you get the last word, if you want it-

I believe obama is lying about having 'no knowledge' of ACORN'S latest corruption(too busy with other things to be paying attention)and if he is not lying, well that is pretty darn scary too-Americans all better be paying attention to that as well----
