In my own villa on the beach in St. Lucia (Caribbean) at a Sandals resort. Thats what we did - no hidden costs, our own beach house with butler/bar/escort/island host. Now we are hooked on Sandals and use it every year for our vacations. |

Quote val15: I'll tell ya what -- I've been to a few of those places because of my husband's job. But my ideal place for a honeymoon is Holland, MI. That's where we went on ours and it was perfect. Let's face it -- when you marry the right one, wherever you go on your honeymoon is paradise. excatly!we went to Branson....(only an hour drive from here ) but it was christmas time. it was gorgious and fun to shop. |

Quote KC11: Glad to hear you had a gr8 time in Jamacia. I stayed at the grand Bahia principe, beautiful. My friend and I did the Bob Marley Moselum tour, Oh my gosh our tour guide was Captain Crazy. His laugh is out of this world, if you want2 hear it check it out on youtube. I loved Jamacia, there is so much to do and see. the night life is gr8, the people are so much fun. I hear you about not spending so much time on a plane2 travel. Because really if you go4 a week, you spend at least 2 of the days travelling. Nice to hear you and your hubby have done quite a bit of travelling, I sure it was lots of fun, experience and a good way of getting more to know one another. Thnks I hope I can be fortunate enough to have many happy years with my hubby!
Quote Greek Godess: Quote KC11: Thnks a lot. I thought it would be fun, and many ladies would enjoy it. I was recently in Jamacia with a friend, and it was a riot, beautiful, and I have to say the best in the Caribbean. Did you enjoy Jamacia? You should call your distant relative Fiji is gr8, but way too long of a fight though. You and your hubby could have a second honeymoon. Quote Greek Godess: Mine would be paris, although I spent my honeymoon in Fiji which was amazing and so breath taking! This is a great thread! Anyway, a distant relative of mine built a home in Figi and asked me to visit a while ago. Nice to hear someone spent time there recently and loved it. Maybe I'll give my cousin a call. LOL! My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Jamaica many many moons ago! LOL! However, if we had to do it all over again, we would probably spend it in Australia. Crusing is a delight but has (whew!) way too much food! I can't wait to read future posts. I would love to getaway! Funny you should mention going back to Jamaica. We've already been twice. Lots of memories I might add. We stayed @ Sandals, Montego Bay. All I remember is dancing, drinking, and la, la, la, la, la Great place to spend with your honey! As for Figi, my husband and I have traveled so much in our youth that we can't see spending so many hours on a plane right now. Enjoy your honeymoon! Tootles! |

Quote OspreyGirl: The moon...that would be a great place to go. When you do figure out how to do a weightless scuba dive, let me know as well. The moon is an interesting place, what made you choose that? It would take forever to get there!
Still trying to figure out how to do weightless scuba diving, though... |

We were supposed to go to Venice for our honeymoon (just got married in June), but because of my husbands line of work we couldn't be away for 3-4 weeks in the summer and I hated the idea of waiting until winter when things slow down for him so, we decided on Cuba! We LOVED Cuba, such a beautiful country and the nicest people on the planet. Beautiful beaches and resorts and it's very hunbling to see how the Cubans live, we came home (Canada) appreciating everything we usually take for granted on a daily basis. Since we didn't get to go to Venice, we had our wedding at the Venetian in Las Vegas |

Many people do point out that the beaches are beautiful, and the people are warm and friendly. I would highly recommend that you and your hubby do get a chance to go to Italy. So beautiful, enchanting, and everything about Italy says romance. Congrads my fellow Canadian.
So the whole point of the story...Italy or Cuba |

My hubby and I went to Niagra Falls. It is such a beautiful place. We enjoyed just realxing and watching the Falls for hours at a time. It's pretty at night when the lights are on. We had a hotel room that overlooked the Falls too. We wanted to see what it looked liked in the winter so we returned that following winter. 18 months after that we brought our daughter and my brother and sister in law. We are planning to return again soon so we can bring our other daughter. |
