With regard to having to back up if you FF too long, my DVR has three speeds for forwarding. If you hit the button once, it forwards slower, but if you hit the button 3 or 4 times, it moves much faster you you may overshoot your FF.

I think there are quite a few people who rely on the good old FF button to get us past some of these ridiculous story lines.

My two eldest children are out of the house so that helps a lot but I miss my grandkids. We're down to phonecalls and emails to everyone instead of visiting loved ones. Social Security is not available if you never paid into it.

I know where you are coming from. I have never had to live like this before - - but you know - - cutting down, even though it can be depressing, can sometimes give you a lift when you realize some of the things you give up were not really important to just be happy.

I have learned this - - and at first, giving up some things, hurt- - took me a few weeks and then I would say - - why did I ever need that, i.e., eating, paying rent, paying utilites, etc.! Only kidding! I actually enjoy going to the supermarket (with me Publix) and putting things back that I KNOW I don't have to have - - I could never do that before. - - - rambling now

- - need to put a cork in it!
