on American Idol? Um last time I checked she doesn't sing! The other judges know about the music industry! You couldn't find a real host? She already has her own show(and Paula's impretion was priceless!! |

She already has her own show(and Paula's impretion was priceless!!  !! Well, let's see - - AI asked her to be a judge, and she always has loved AI, so why not accept? She didn't ask them - - they asked her. Paula's problem was money, among other things. They didn't ask her to leave, either. Also, last time I checked, Simon doesn't sing either.

Paula was a former cheerleader who later choreographed videos for MTV, and the got a record deal to have her voice produced in a studio...she never actually sang live without lip synching. Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson? Before Idol who ever heard of them? So why not Ellen? She's not funny but calls herself a comedian...she'll fit right in! |

People vote once the contestants have been narrowed down, but the judges decide who makes it to Hollywood and I believe once the kids get to Hollywood the judges still make further cuts. |

Does anyone know if she's (Ellen) at the auditons now? Or is she joining them later? I hope she's at the auditions her reaction to some singers should be priceless...hahaha |

As far as Ellen is concerned, IMHO she is very funny and IS a comedian. And, I am sure there are many people out there that agree. As far as all of these people mentioned - - for being unknown and not talented, they sure are laughing all the way to the bank, eh? P.S. On American Idol, the people vote, not the judges - - so having no credentials would be fine.  It is MHO that American Idol is drivel! But if that's what stimulates your brain cells have at it! To each his own. When I watched the show I felt the contestents were untalented and the judges comments were some of the most inane words I have ever heard spoken! |

If I was a contestant I would only listen to Simon. That Kara I can't stand, wish they let her go instead of Paula. Hi Seal - - I see your white seal is still on your avi - - finally! Yes, I remember the remark someone made to him about the Teletubbies, but he is responsible for the Teletubbies making it to television and becoming a success. He was also behind the production of a Teletubbies Christmas album. Certainly not something he wants to be common knowledge among American Idol fans! I too wish Paula had stayed rather than Kara, but - - whatever. AI is the only reality show I watch. I very seldom watch until they are down to the last 10 contestants, because some of them are really good. It is a good escape from all the seriousness on other television channels. Look what happened with Susan Boyle - - on Britain's Got Talent" - - now that was really something! |

"Idol" is not a fav of mine..but I do watch when bored. IT ALWAYS SEEMED TO ME THAT ALL THE JUDGES were the real stars and not the performers - so full of themselves. Ellen will add some much needed RELIEF FROM THEIR OVERSIZED EGOS. |

I really like Ellen, never really cared for Paula, I like Simon when he's not destroying someones feelings, he can be more tactful than that. I like Randy, don't really like the new one, to me she's to loud and bossy. |
