You know, I don't know your age, but years ago there was a sitcom called "Cybill" with Cybill Shepherd and Christine Baranski played her constantly drunk friend, Maryanne Thorpe. She was so good then and was nominated for numerous awards and won two for her part in this. Anyway, always thought she was spectacular and was really happy to see her on this program, as Diane Lockhart, one of the main attorneys at the firm. Still funny as heck with her dog named "Justice" Anyway, loved it, loved it, loved it -- and we can wait to hear from Mem. Okay guys its about to start here. I can't wait!!! Just got finished watching two great SVU episodes so I am amped and ready to go!! I'll post my thoughts after. We can all discuss it!! Don't know if I will still be up - - or Wanna at that matter. But can't wait to see how your feel. Wish others would come to this thread and tell us if they liked it - - if they watched it!  Oh its okay I know you guys are on the east coast so we will just talk later on. But here is my take.......... I loved it!!!  It was good from the beginning to the end. I don't know all of the characters names yet have to look that one up.  The casting was perfect all the characters were believable and the writing was great to. Only Chris Noth could make me like a cheating politician. All the people who judged Alicia before they met her made me so mad. Nobody took her seriously except for her friend the partner. Didn't like the Cary guy but I understand his point of view (I love the actor because of other shows). Loved her relationship with her children. I sympathize with Alicia on her relationship with her mother-in-law. I know its probably good to have her their but she is his mother. I did not like the jeans talk. Her mentor was great saying us women need to stick together thought it was good she made her feel welcome. Did not like the stuck-up district attorneys they really underestimated her. The judge was great he was stern but not to bias. Loved the part where she gave her client the advice like you knew Alicia had done the same thing. The new states attorney was a major creep something is fishy about him. Wonder if the husband was set up? Thought the bit about the prostitute was so realistic. (ex: Ashley Dupre/Eliot Spitzer) OT: Did you hear Tommy Hilfiger had a party or something and she wanted to attend? He said no thanks but she would not be welcome. He does not want that kind of press.  It was just a really great drama. Can't wait for the next episode. Tired there is probably more but my mind is all........ .The Shallow Stuff: Loved Julianna Marguiles her hair is so beautiful. Loved what she wore their wardrobe department did a great job in dressing everyone. Oh except for that tweed number she wore in the beginning it was to dreary. The shot at the beginning with Alicia staring at that piece of lent was great to. I'll think of more later. Wanna and Puddycat can't wait to here your views and anyone else. I agree with everything you just said. It was amazing how beautiful she was after getting the whole tweed and standing beside her husband thing over with. There was on thing I did not like  that judge at her case. He was quite a jerk to her. I kept wanting her to go up and slap him too. In the previews it shows a case with another judge next week so maybe this one is history. I absolutely loved this show!!! Definitely will be watching this next Tuesday!! Does anybody watch NCIS??? I think this is a three hour block that's great if you are able to watch it!!1 You took the words right out of my mouth, I wanted to slap that judge into next Tuesday!!! How dare they judge the wife due to the husbands actions!!! |

So I will check that out next week I saw a really good promo for it though. Like Puddycat said join us next week. We can all discuss it!!!

Now that was not EVEN funny! Here I was trying to find a 24 hour dentist to schedule a 10pm root canal for next Tuesday. I was looking for something less painful than Palin would have been. 66.7 million people watched last night. Leno's ratings dropped 33%. Hard to believe since Pee Wee Herman was on.  I don't think Leno can ever hold up to all the other networks on Tuesdays anymore. There is way too many good shows in that time slot.

I glimpsed it last night but I was too caught up with The Biggest Loser & Dancing with the Stars. It was suppose to be a big move for Leno. He is the first comedian to have a nightly primetime every night show. He was going to quit his show and to keep him the network gave him this gig. It bores me to tears. He is not funny to me at all. I laugh at myself more than I do him.
