Quote lovesit: Quote raving: Quote lovesit: Ha, I was cooking and realized I said debate, went back here hoping I could edit...you all are fast tonight. Anywho, I didn't mean debate. Obviously I was talking about speeches, debates, SOTUs, yada yada. My point: to me, "liar" is just as disruptive as applause every minute, the intentions don't make it any easier to listen. And the other point was that no, I obviously don't agree with disruptions of any kind, especially childish ones. BUT...Yelling "Boo" over and over (Dems to Bush in 2005 SOTU) IS the same as yelling "liar." You can't convince me this was some unprecedented event by Wilson. How can we all of a sudden make people accountable for their actions? Since the media caved in to money, there is no one anymore to hold these people up and say "Looky here what this one did" They (our reps) obviously (mostly) don't care how we think of them b.c there is no incentive to act right, or NONE of these people would be doing this. Boo is not the same as calling your newly elected president a liar..... a liar insinuates that someone is not is not telling the truth...boo means you strongly disagree with something said or done......in other words...I say boooo to your post......but if I were to say...Lovesit you are a liar...that is saying you are not telling the truth....you see the difference now? how did you take it when I said boo to your post...how did you take it when I said lovesit is a liar???? I'm not sure how to respond. First, please clarify if you are really calling me a liar or booing at my post, then I'll go from there. But I don't need clarification to say this: to me, booing is no worse or better than yeling liar. Both are disrupting, and its hard enough to follow as it is with all the clapping. actually,,,, and maybe im overstepping my reading between the lines abilty now.....but I believe you answered my question quite clearly......you want me to clarify whether or not Im calling you a liar???? in my reading....that just says it all.....because as you say, if it truly makes no difference to you if I boo or call you a liar.....then you shouldnt really need clarification, .........right? |

No. I just didn't know to give a hypothetical answer or not. It doesn't really make much difference. If you were calling me a liar, I was just going to give you a link and say, no, here is my example. If you were booing at my post, well, I still don't know how to respond. We can't all agree. So, it is still the same to me...Both, if I were mid-speak, would have annoyed me to the asme degree. |

However, Hannity did say to him - - "Maybe the President will invite you to the White House for a beer!" Man - - - I am just so overwhelmed by the sense of humor of Helmet Head. So juvenile. He and Ann Coulter need to have their own show. why watch it then??? you know what to expect.....dont help his ratings if you find him so annoying! |

Christ on a cross! Seriously you are equating APPLAUSE to calling the president a LIAR? They are both disruptive? GMAB! There were times the republicans applauded. NO one ever shouted out LIAR to Bush during a Joint session. In fact when we went into the Liar War, Everyone there stood tall and united. The claps, the applause, the boos even are all precedented. Yelling and heckling might be what is expected in other countries but not ours. If this man who is elected cannot hold his emotions together he doesn't need to be an elected official. And seriously! Seriously you are saying that this man is not the first to do this. Boos and all that other jazz are normal. YOU ARE A LIAR is not appropriate anymore than saying YOU ARE AN IDIOT. There are just some things you say in your inside voice. Maybe someone needs to sit and watch the Purple Dinasour a little bit. |

Furthermore...applause and LIAR are totally different. You wouldn't go to your kids spelling bee or school play and at the end sit in your chair yelling LIAR.... |
