Hey Cats: Congrats on your anniversary – how did you celebrate? I live in Toronto (T.dot), Ontario, Cda. I’ll be 54 next month, have one darling daughter whose grown and a social butterfly, I was married for twelve years and am now divorced – it’s all good! No pets; had a cat a long time ago and refuse to replace him. Yes, I watch othr; HWives, OC, NY. NJ and as stated ATL season 1. These housewives make me lol, due to being so self absorbed and catty re each other. I truly wouldn’t want friendz like some of these women – too much drama, jealousy, and insecurities.
I’m out, teaching yoga at 7pm.
Namaste!

Quote Africa:
Quote chychy65: Hi Africa.... show was good... NeNe met her (alledged) real father... she said he looks like bryson.. (her son)... he does to me... Wonder why they dont rent the house in Athens out, im sure there is a family that could use it... but maybe they dont want it messed up... She said that he looked a Hot mess... i didnt think he looked bad... i was expecting some drunnken bum or something...

Kim and Sheree did a great thing for Khandi.. her engagement party.... sorta sad in hindsight , knowing aj is dead...

Khandi mom is firm in her decision about aj... in a way she is right, but she has to let Khandi make her own decision... as a mother you hate to see your children run into a train wreck ... so to say... but if things had of run its course, Khandi should have done a pre-nup... but not necessary now..

Kim has a new wig every day... what a waste of money... sometimes i watch the extravagance of these HW and i just get soooo mad... not knocking them for having money, but you can be so wasteful, it is just sad... that wig cost 800.00 and still look like the one she always wears...

Lisa and Ed were sort of boring this week, girls i cant even remember what they did... oh he was painting her...

Chychy65: thanks for the post…I can’t wait for season two. You folks have a show with Ryan Seacrest – dang! That's what I’m talking ‘bout, there’s no such show here in the T.dot. Canada oh Canada – why are we so far behind? From Osprey’s post, Season 2 will be completed next week and I’m still in Season 1 – Lord help us Canadians. As for NeNe: at least she can put her doubts to rest re her father. As for Sheree and her designs – they are as unfashionable as she is!

My niece says the same thing when she goes to Atlanta for the Summer...they got the WB and all the new episodes and we got reruns. lol

Hey neighbor...I catch the show on Saturdays....I tend to forget when it's on or am caught up doing something else.

The Board keep me abreast of most things going on.

Here are my observations about last Thurs.'s epi: the engagement party was a nice idea, but didn't go over well; I'm sorry, but I really feel Kandi's mother is being unreasonable when it comes to her late fiance; noone should have to choose bet. the person they love and their parent(s); Kandi was put in an awkward position; the mother clearly had no intention of toasting them and should have respectfully declined, then just sat quietly, out of respect for her daughter's feelings! If he had lived, I seriously doubt whether they would have gotten married, due to Kandi being overly concerned w/having her mother's approval. Yes, we all want our parents' support/approval, but as a grown woman earning her own living, she is entitled to live her life as she sees fit; and sometimes our parents may not like it! We'll never know what things were really like behind closed doors w/those two, but from all outward appearances, he appeared to care about her and didn't seem interested in her 'for her money' as her mother implied; such a tragedy all around.

Now that the season's wrapped up, my final observations are:
*NeNe IS a drama magnet, and should just leave Kim and Kandi alone; they're never gonna be friends!
*She should get to know her father; her husband needs to let HER make that decision
*Lisa was jealous of Sheree's fashion show success, though she was a good sport about it; at least she showed up appropriately dressed! I don't like Sheree, BUT some of her clothes were really sharp, eg. that blue dress, and the gown; I must admit, Dwight did a good job of getting the event together.*I don't feel Kandi owed NeNe an apology...for what? Like Kandi said, the argument is bet. her and KIM!!
*I'll say it again...that sl-t Kim needs to GO! I just can't stand to look @her; she's such a sleazy, two-faced, wannabe 'down'w/the sistas wench, AND she talks a lot of 'smack'!; I'd love for NeNe or anyone to beat her to the ground!!(and not get in trouble); I hope she's NOT on next season, if there is one; I kinda doubt if Kandi will be on, but who knows...
*"Watch What Happens"/ATL Housewives' reunion should be something else for the next two weeks; fur is gonna fly!!!!

i don't think you could get arrested for pulling off a wig
i think nene should just do that, i also think kim's ex should take the kids away, kim is a terrible mother, smoking, swearing, sleeping with a married man for money and gifts, wish we knew something about her ex
i have to say, after watching project runway for a few years now, i thought both collections were pretty bad, in sheree's the fabric's looked cheap, and what season was she showing? i just wasn't impressed at all

Nene and Kim: I think Kim was lying about Nene choking her and Kim was lying that she didn't touch Nene. I think Nene did hit her back somehow, but not choke her. On the show, Kim told Kandi that the incident happened the day before...so if that's the case, where are the bruises? If Kandi is her friend, wouldn't you show your friend the bruises and go to the police for support? Clearly, Kim has mental issues and I really think someone needs to take her kids away from her until she can get her act together.

Nene and Greg: I understand where Greg is coming from and I would be over protective as well of Alan's motives. How do you now, after 40 years want to step up to the plate and claim that you might be Nene's father? It's suspect to me...but on the other hand, I do think Greg needs to bend a bit and at least let them take a DNA test to settle the matter once and for all. Marriage is about compromising, whether we agree on the issue or not, she should take the test and get closure.

Lisa and Ed: Other than some square footage and other amenities lost in the current house, the old house Ed used to live in is still quite substantial. I'm glad that Ed and Lisa had a sit down about finances, and I wish more couples would be shown on TV having such an important, open, and frank talk with their spouses.

Sheree and Dwayne: I loved Dwayne's input and help--it was much needed and Sheree should be indepted to him FOREVER. Sheree clearly was nervous and didn't know that as a designer, your input is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of the show for the makeup artists, models...EVERYONE. For her to think she can skip out for a hair appointment when there were several hair dressers around was crazy...but I have to say she pulled the show off, it was good. I'm happy that months later, she showed off a new collection at NY Fashion week...that's cool!

Kandi, her mom, and AJ: I'm glad that Kandi's mom sat down with AJ and expressed her willingness to let their relationship take out without her interference. I'm glad that she was able to do that...considering that just months later, AJ would die. I'm certain that if she hadn't reached out to him, that the guilt would have eaten her up, and Kandi may have resented her as well.

No problem, Africa!

Hey you guys--Nene did an interview with Essence.com that you might enjoy and get some more insights into the behind the scenes stuff that happened:
