HELLO, RHW OF ATL FANS: It’s way cool I found this lounge!!! Chychy65 thank you for starting this thread. I live in Cda. With the exception of my sister none of my Sistahfriendz watch the show, so it’s great finding others who do. I watch ALT housewives in amazement. NeNe is definitely, country, however; I like her b/c she’s down to earth. Sheree is plain trippin’, talking ‘bout folks being intimidated by her, yeah right, in her own mind. Sheree took her designs to Mercedes Fashion Week and she was a total flop, so can someone tell me – who is intimidated by her and why? Deshawn, I don’t what’s up with her…throwing that fundraiser where not one person placed a bid at the auction – that was embarrassing, and sad. Lisa, her hubby and her are cool peeps, I like them. Kim oh Kim – whasup with that gurl, always talking ‘bout big papa this, big papa dat and thank you big papa. No disrespect, but is Kim a working gurl and big papa her sugar daddy? Just asking! And who told that Chile she could sing! Kim can’t sing, she just has big papa $$$ to throw around, she better dream a new dream and quick! Is it on the upcoming episode or did NeNe find out if the man she knew as her father is her real father?
Which one is Kandi? I don’t think I’ve seen her in the episodes I’ve watched; then again I only started watching this season. I heard her ex died, however; I am not clear on who she is?

khandi is the singer with the real cute hair, she is the one responsible for producing kim's record, khandi is just a very kind person, i would have laughed kim out of the recording studio, i wish they would get rid of kim, guess every show has one person you have to hate, kim is it for me, what is she ever going to teach her daughters, what a role model

welcome Africa... i dont know if you are still in season 1... But Khandi is in this season, she used to sing with the R and B group Xscape.... she helped Kim put out her song -"Tardy for the Party"..

Ugghhh...she is such a sleezy trash bag...who breaks off an engagement from a married man? How dumb are you?

She really thought that man was going to leave his wife for her. I mean really--if he really wanted her, he would have been with her a long time ago. Plus, he probably didn't have a prenup with his wife, and if he did have one, the exposure from the show alone would have netted his wife millions.

So, really...who's feeling pity for Kim right now?

when did she call off the engagement? i can't believe i missed it, what did she do before the last 3 yrs? before she had poppa? he must be beyond wealthy to afford two households

Also Khandi is emerging to be the new "fav housewife"... she was the one to be let go... but in light of her new-found popularity , the producers changed their minds..

Hi All: Thanks for the welcome! I luv the commentary – very humorous! Cats, thanks for the response re Khandi. chychy 65, I just had an aha moment…I’m still in season 1 . It doesn’t show here on Thursdays, it comes on Saturdays at 8pm. Canadians are ‘always’ behind a season with certain shows that has already premiered in the U.S, and they are shows you folks have that we never ever see or hear about. Other times when we’re seeing shows in Cda, the season has already been completed in the U.S, i.e. Season 1 of RHW of ATL – that’s Canadian TV – major drag! It now makes sense why I don’t Khandi and never heard the song “Tardy for the Party.” It’s all-good, I look forward to season 2; in the meantime I’ll read posting.

Hi Africa.... show was good... NeNe met her (alledged) real father... she said he looks like bryson.. (her son)... he does to me... Wonder why they dont rent the house in Athens out, im sure there is a family that could use it... but maybe they dont want it messed up... She said that he looked a Hot mess... i didnt think he looked bad... i was expecting some drunnken bum or something...

Kim and Sheree did a great thing for Khandi.. her engagement party.... sorta sad in hindsight , knowing aj is dead...

Khandi mom is firm in her decision about aj... in a way she is right, but she has to let Khandi make her own decision... as a mother you hate to see your children run into a train wreck ... so to say... but if things had of run its course, Khandi should have done a pre-nup... but not necessary now..

Kim has a new wig every day... what a waste of money... sometimes i watch the extravagance of these HW and i just get soooo mad... not knocking them for having money, but you can be so wasteful, it is just sad... that wig cost 800.00 and still look like the one she always wears...

Lisa and Ed were sort of boring this week, girls i cant even remember what they did... oh he was painting her...

Ugghh...I'm dragging this morning, stayed up past my bedtime to watch the show with hubby...the man is HOOKED! lol

Ok--I kinda have a better understanding of Nene's behavior this season...she had to confront some pretty heavy stuff while writing her MEMWA (memoir), including meeting a man that is probably your father...I will give Nene a pass from being the bubbly funny Nene we fell in love with from Season 1. Alan did look like Bryson, though I think Nene looks more like her mom, she has Alan's eyes.

You guys should read her book, she talks more about Alan and the nitty gritty on what went down with her mom, Curtis, and Alan back in the day...

Kim--what can you say? She is a narcissistic fool! She spends more a month on hair than some people in poor countries make in a year. She is such a trash bag. At the engagement party, did you guys agree with her that Nene would have dragged everyone down with drama? My hubby agreed with her... ...and laughed at Kim calling Nene a moose...that's so wrong...

Sheree-- ...rolling my eyes is about all I can muster when it comes to this broad...and I DON'T LIKE her friend either. They are just so...UGH! LOL...Dwight was spot on with those sample clothes, you need a model to wear the clothes, while the seamstress/designer/etc, work on making the final revisions...this usually isn't done just days before a fashion show because you need as much time as possible for sewing, possibly redesigning and getting new fabric...UGH, Sheree is lucky to have Dwight but he can only do so much with so little. My hubby thought all of her samples look like clothes you can get off the rack at a mall or something..LMAO...haute couture? NOT!

Lisa--yep, she and Ed were pretty boring this episode...his first painting of her, WOW! It wasn't pretty but at least it wasn't a stick figure...that man is so fine! WHEW!

Khandi--hmmm, I'm glad to know that she, AJ, and her mom went to pre marital counseling to try to work out their differences. I understand where her mom is coming from, but she has to let Khandi make her own mistakes. AJ seemed like a really nice guy. So weird speaking about him in the past tense...

I read on TMZ yesterday that he had sickle cell anemia, which contributed to his death. The red blood cells in his body didn't process or have enough oxygen, after he was in that fight, so everything internally pretty much seized up on him...don't know the best medical way to describe this, but basically his heightened state of anger plus the lack of oxygen renewal in his blood cells contributed to his death.

Engagement Party--I thought it was going to be a bigger bash than that. It was pretty awkward IMO...I don't think Khandi's mom should have been forced to give a toast. If she wasn't feeling it, why push her? AJ did ask her first to toast to them, but he should have known better. And who is Kim to try to nudge this poor woman? Kim can't take care of her own kids!

The finale is next week--do you guys think Nene really choked Kim? Well...months after the show ended, they ended up on Ryan Seacrest's show, and when he asked her about the incident, she said her lawyers were handling the situation...but no charges were filed. So...what really happened, if anything?

In regards to the choking incidnet... there are rumors swirling around that a housewife is weeks away from being arrested... maybe nene...

Forgot about kim's moose -call, yeah we cracked up also...

i just got to read the book...

I was saying the same about the clothes, they looked just like Macy's , or Lord and Taylorish.... nothing really unusual... Her friend is sooooo snobby...
