LOL! I think it has something to do with all the sprint
work they do! Some great games today and overtimes. PATRIOTS vs. BRONCOS, TEXANS vs. CARDNALS, and of course the COWBOYS game. looking forward to the COLTS vs. TITANS but I think I'm going to be disappointed, so I'll probably tune into DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, and BROTHERS & SISTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was just wondering since there a few teams that are 0-5 right now... could they possibly still be in the running for a (wild card position)... just wondering when it was really a give up situation for teams.... dont you have to be like 10-6 or something in that area to at least qualify...

help me yall experts...

Every year it is different. Teams are splint into divisions and you have a DIVISIONAL team winner which is the team with the most total wins(out of ALL the teams they play & the teams that they beat within their own division). There are 4 divsional winners in each CONFERENCE(AFC & NFC ) and I think 2 wild card teams in each conference. In each conference the teams with the two best records will get home field advantage and a bye(they don't play the first week)the first round is called the WILD CARD ROUND and winners then advance. The second round is called the DIVISIONAL ROUND and winners advance. The third round is called the CONFERENCE ROUND and winners advance until you have a team from the NFC and a team from the AFC and that is the MOST HYPED GAME of any sport alive. One whole week of non-stop media blitz with newspeople from around the globe. it is possible and sometimes happens that a team with a losing record can advance into the playoffs as a wild card. A wild card has even won the SUPER BOWL and it is possible for a team to have a better overall record than a divsionl winner and still be a wild card or not even make it. A team with a 0-5 record could still make it to the playoffs but it would depend on many ,many things. usually a team that finishes STRONG has a better chance of winning in the playoffs then a team that starts strong and loses games in the last month of DECEMBER. Many things factor into the win/loss scenario one of which is key players getting hurt or for example BRETT FARVE did very good with the JETTS until the end of the season and he seemed to loose steam/momentum. Could that have been due to old injuries? We shall see! Hope this helped you, the playoff system is complicated and if teams have identical records there are scenarios in place to take care of that.

O yes Jimmie.He was a GREAT coach.

Well da boys pull a win out of there hats. Can't believe they had to go to over time to beat a winless team.

I hope they take there off time, and go to work.If it takes day light till dark to get it right, they must come together and get there $hit together,or its better luck next season.

LOL! Although I LOVED JIMMIE JOHNSON I wasn't talking about the COWBOYS for once. Ole JERRY will never bring back JIMMIE because he was a strong coach who wouldn't let JJ interfere in his team. Great motivator and he is missed, knew something about DISCIPLINE and getting the players to still want to play for him. There would have been no QB/receiver controversey with him. T.O. wouldn't have left and the team would be a different one than they are now. No, I was responding to CHYCHY about the COLTS!

Tony Dungy was a great coach. I am still warmig up to Jim Caldwell but knowing he was under Dungy's wing for quite some time helps.......

I can remember at LEAST three, they are the BRONCOS, the STEELERS, and most recently the GIANTS. I think one of the teams that JOHN MADDEN coached(RAIDERS or the EAGLES were one also, not really sure, though).
