Quote Sunnydaz: I cried the entire memorial this afternoon. And now tonight it was on again in bits and pieces on CNN. I think i could watch this over and over and not get thru it without tears. So so so sad.

The Barbara Walters special is on now. She sat a couple rows behind Michael's mom and kids. Barbara is in tears doing this show now.

Thanks Wanna....i'm watching both now....i've had tears all day.

Me too. I loved what Marlin said at the funeral about NOW maybe people would leave him alone.

Quote OspreyGirl: Is anyone planning to go to the Staples memorial on 7/7/09 or watch it from home?

Are you attending some other MJ memorial? (I hear it will cost the City of LA around $2.5M).

Let's post our memorial experiences here...

I'm trying to go to the Staples Center memorial and hope to get tickets...will have to wait and see!

Do you guys think he should be buried at Neverland? In Cali, a person cannot be buried on private property. Should the legislators make an exception for Michael?

I think so...

I'm not in California or anywhere near it for that matter, but I read that some crazed fans may exhume his body. That's just sick. For that reason, I also think he should be buried privately at Neverland.

I guess she is telling how she feels. I don't think he was that great either. Liked his music, didn't like his sickness. Always thought Prince was a better musician and song writer.

The service was even more wonderful than I could have imagined. It was beautiful and so touching that you could not hold your tears. I loved that comment that Marlon made. Seeing all those great famous people break down in tears shows the magnitude of the love Michael brought to everyone.

Gone too soon......

There were so many voices that brought me deeper into who Michael was and I would like to share 2 with you:

Maya Angelou's Poem about Michael Jackson: 'We Had Him'

We Had Him....Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.

Another touching moment for me was the speaker that rocked Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas ....The Micheal Jackson Resolution 600. *clap clap clap*

Michael gave so much....Heal the World we can make a better day.

RIP MJ

Wow...when I saw that casket being wheeled in by his brothers, I just lost it...he's really gone? I've cried so many tears by now for the past few weeks but am still coming to grips with this, he has left us too soon...I kept wanting him to appear one more time, wow us and leave in a blaze of glory.

I'm so proud of the Jackson family and AEG for giving us such a beautiful and loving send off for Michael. I felt like a part of their family grieving the loss of a special loved one. Lionel Richie sang one of my favorite songs, "Jesus is Love," and I just lost it...then Stevie sang "I Never Thought You Would Leave in Summer" and I was balling...

OMG---Rev Al Sharpton took us TO CHURCH with his speech, and I was so happy that he spoke to Michael's kids to tell them that there was nothing strange about him, only what others had done...they needed to hear that and they will carry that with them all of their days...

Little Paris---God bless her soul, she was very brave to speak in front of so many people about her daddy...Michael was a daddy! A brother, a son, an uncle, he was a human being, and this memorial really hit that out the park for a lot of people who may not have known him that well.

I cried so much last night my eyes are red and puffy, didn't fall asleep until at little after 1a...but you know, the moon was still so full and bright, the light shone in our home and I felt that Michael was in heaven with God, sending his love down on us...

I only wish that this appreciation for Michael was done more often, especially during the last 10 years of his life...so tragic.

The Best There Ever Was, The Best There Ever Will Be...Michael Forever!

I'm with you, I don't like that they are interrupting ABC daytime to air this.

I seem to remember Princess Diana's funeral on all network channels as well...didn't bother me.

I didn't watch daytime tv back then...

I'm not saying that his memorial shouldn't have been covered at all, I just think it could have been covered on CNN or something, rather than every network. On another note, I did watch some highlights of the service, and it helped to realize that MJ was a real person.
