Why would anyone want him buried at Neverland? I heard that when he left it he never returned and said it had been tarnished because thats where he was accused of molesting those boys.

Quote cats meow: does anyone know who is responsible for televising the service?
were the tickets free? a friend of mine saw a ticket for sale on e bay for $10,000, that is terrible

No Cats the tickets were free. All the people that wanted a ticket had to get their name in on Saturday and the names where drawn out lottery style. Each person was then send a password to be able to get into the place to print off their tickets. None of the tickets were sold. This is a memorial and the family wanted to allow as many fans as possible in.

Oh WAIT!!!!....I bet you are talking about the ones that people won and where trying to sale on ebay! I just hurt that one guy has on he is trying to sell for $100,000!

OMG! That is sooooooo WRONG in so many ways!!

To many people out there that want a piece of the Michael Jackson pie!

My husband said he heard on the news today where someone was trying to sell a ticket for $15,000 on Ebay as well.

I hope that Ebay has the integrity to remove those auctions!

That is just plain SICK!!

Does anyone know how long the memorial will be? I saw on one of my local radio websites that it's a few hours long like 10a-2p PST, etc. I don't know if this is just how long they are streaming it?

Uggghhh...what a sad day...

Looks like he is being laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Cemetery...I saw on CNN last night that members of his family were there last night, and the private funeral is today at 8a.

Then, Michael will be transported to the Staples Center either via motorcade or helicopter for the public memorial.

edition.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Music/07/07/michael.jackson.wrap/index.html

CNN reporting that his body will be on stage at the Staples Center.

Hmmmm. I really didn't think his body would be there. I hope they have security on high alert b/c you never know what some crazed fan might attempt.

Also, according to this -

Jermaine might perform.

Gone to soon...

This is a very sad day not only for America but the entire world. Not only did he do so much for music but he crossed the race barriers in so many ways. He brought "Black or White" together just like in his song. Before Michael MTV refused to air any black performs. They had to be threaten with exposure of their racist ways to even air a single video. This threat was made by the Jackson 5 manager. THEN Michael blew the whole world away and made MTV the show of the time. Never has there been an entertainer with a heart as big as Michaels. Never has their been any celeberty to give as much to charities. Never has there been a child thrown in the spotlight at 4-5 years old and made it to where he has. Never has any one sold as many albums, won as many grammy's or given as much to charities. The "We are the world" performance came straight from his heart. A heart as big as any I have ever known. He is loved by MANY and will continue to be forever. I am sure that in my lifetime at least, no one will come close to his accomplishments. He was not only a singer and dancer but a performer who did not discriminate or hate anyone. It was heart wrenching to see his children at the family service. They even asked to see their dad at the hospital when he was pronounced dead. This kids are strong as their father has had to be. When you reach the top friends are few and far between. True friends not just in it for the money. Thank God Michael did have some true and honest friends in his life. I so wish I could have been among them. The court of public opinion did damage to his heart and soul that was not reversible. His last years where filled with torture. Never should anyone be put through the things this man was put through. His big heart has never shown anything but love. This big heart was also shown in his will. He left 20% of his estate to charity.. I truly believe that this is one man who honestly did not hate anyone. In fact I do not think the word "hate" was in his vocabulary. We love you Michael and our hearts are broken. No one can ever hurt you again now and you are in our hearts forever...

Thank you Wanna.... that was deep.

He was a beautiful person and I will always beleive there is good in this world...Anne Frank said it and Michael illustrated it.

Amongs all the negativity that going Michael songs brought us joy and his love through his words, actions showed that.

I too believe he is at peace now...sad that he died and never really knew how much he was loved.

Reach out and tell someone you love them and that they are not alone....hold them...encourage them....lift them up and not tear them down.....

To those out there...know you are not alone and that somebody loves you.

We are the world
We are the Children
We are the ones who can make a brighter day if we just start giving.......
