I didn't know yet and I was getting ready to tell her I just read on here Farrah Fawcet died, and before I could get a word out she said, MICHAEL JACKSON. I said nah, no way. Well I checked the LOUNGE, and there it was. I just couldn't believe it. I turned on CNN snd there it was. COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Kinda like when John Lennon was killed or John Denver crashed his plain, but much, much worse. I felt like I kinda knew Michael, and I'm 58 acting like a fool.

My sister called inviting us to her 4th of July party and she mentioned it..I was sad because I think he died way too soon, but his passing did not stop my life from happening and I am not crying every day about it...

Too bad that he died young..

And BTW American Soldiers died recently too...where is the outcry and homage towards them?

Ohh the media is so gaa gaa about a POP star they don't even care that a Soldier died protecting this USA

This is soo disgraceful of people that mourn a celebrity that had a very questionable life.....than the real hero's that are putting their lives on the line every day and don't get any respect!

i was watching fox news, just heard about farrah and then all of a sudden they announced michael jackson was believed to have died, i could not believe it

just to make it clear i am not trying to stir the pot and i will not debate what i am going to post next
it was the bush admin that did not allow pics of the coffins of the dead soldiers, i will not say another word about it, because it is not the topic of the thread

i am having 3 girlfriends over on tuesday to watch the service and then have lunch, we will also be celebrating my girlfriend's successful breast cancer surgery

Just turned on CNN on TV. Was watching it with my hubby & they said MJ had died. To tell you the truth for a little while I thought it was some kind of publicity stunt....
MJ's life had been shrouded in secrecy for so many years & the media were always like rabid dogs reporting every possible aspect of it.
I was flabergasted when it was confirmed. It was so sad.....

People can say or think what they want about MJ but his death has left the world with a huge void....

Driving home from work, turned on the radio and wondered why I kept hearing Jackson 5 or MJ songs switching channels, stopped on one channel who interrupted the program to say Michael had died, called my husband to tell him what I heard, he said the last he heard was a heart attack, he flipped on CNN and got confirmation, drove the rest of the way home in shock and disbelief...

i WAS watching the news, and heard it ... and got numerous phone calls and texts....

I saw it on AOL.

I turned on CNN to learn more about the passing of Farah Fawcet and was stunned to hear the news.
Rest in Peace, MJ and many prayers all over are going out to your kids.

i was discussing farrah with a friend then suddenly she told me "did you hear MJ just died?" i thought it was a joke of some sort..how could this be? he was only 50, working on a comeback tour and there was no talk of him even being ill. it was such a blow. it made me feel bad that i had ever joked about the surgeries with his face b/c i think he had some real issues. i always loved & adored him throughout the years tho. i can't remember too many times in which MJ was not in the limelight or in the news. the shock of his death resurfaced all of the good memories and those of which when he was at his best. i've never seen anyone perform like him...there will never be another MJ. i will miss him like no other celebrity.
