Me , my 40yr old minister son. Who is always right, really doesn't let me voice an opinion, just talks over me, and absolutly no one sees this so it's his story and of course I'm the B.... He is a very good preacher, but the teenage years were very bad and his father left when he was 9 months old. and the few men in my family died before he was even a glimmer. He's married now with 3 wonderful kids. I tell you when my mom was alive and saw this crap I had someone to talk to, now no one.

Don't mean to make dispersions, but often some in the ministry become extremely self-righteous. Has he always been this way or only since he entered the ministry? Perhaps in his own journey in dealing with his own emotional and spiritual issues, he still hasn't acquired to patience to accept the fact that other's are dealing with their own. Maybe he needs to be reminded that he should continue to deal with his own issues, and not be so concerned or critial with others - especially with his own mother. You are not his responsibility nor is he yours.

What is bugging me today is that some body left their 3 mo old baby in the car at Target in Gulf Shores, AL, while they went shopping and another customer noticed the kid in the car next to theirs. The kid had been left over twenty mins. and was unresponsive at first, mind you on this day it was almost 100 degrees and the inside of the car was reported to be at about 120. The person who left the baby will not be charged. But according to AL law if you leave a person under 12 in the car you could face child endangerment charges.

Why in the world will they not be charged? I thought that was a given when you did that. I know that there was one woman who got arrested for leaving her child in the car parked in front of the store only to walk 10 feet to the trash can in plain sight to throw away a diaper. She wasn't gone more than a minute. I don't get it.

This bugs me all the time. You would think by now I would check the site first. Does anyone else experience this? I think my laptop is running slow, like the pages are taking forever to change, anyway after I do what I do I know it's squeaky clean, can't think of better words. Anyway, I run McAfee, Ad-Aware, Anti-Spy, go to TOOLS, Internet Options, do everything there, and finally compare the site I'm on to another site last, and it's always the site, usually this one. Anything that messes with what I'm doing really bugs me

What is bugging me today is that my father is getting on my last nerve. My sister got married Wednesday. I went to Camden SC(where they live)for her wedding. My father acts like that just because my sister and I are grown(I'm 29&she is 19)that we don't want him to spend any time with us. He&my mother divorced when I was 5 and he has always acted like he wanted nothing to do with me. He told my sister that the sister that the reason I wasn't there for Christmas( in 08)was becaus I didn't want to be. That was definitely a lie. She knows that now. I was there for the birth of my neice or the 1st year of her life. I'm just starting to get to know her. He&I my step-mother(I feel like)that they hate my mother. My mom hates the way they treat me. My sister(the one who got married)said that anytime I want to come and her&her family to call her because I've get get my dad on the phone. Sorry for the rant, I'm just angry.

My youngest son had told me yesterday that he would be cooking hamburgers, etc., at my mom's today. But, he called early this afternoon as said he had made other plans with his friends and that we'd cookout tomorrow. Did he even consider that I had been looking forward to going to my mom's and us enjoying spending time together as a family? No! As usual, his friends always come first! Then, just a little while ago, he calls again saying he wanted to bring his baby girl over because the fireworks might scare her. He also assumed it would be okay for her to spend the night. While I love both of my grandchildren more than anything, there are times I don't feel like babysitting. Of course, I said it was okay because I'd rather the baby be with me than screaming her head off and being scared to death at the fireworks and/or being put in her other alcoholic grandmother's care. Just once I wish my son would come visit and spend time with me and not want me to babysit all the time.

Now that I've vented, as Harry's father Buddy on Night Court would say, "I'm feeling much better now"!

That's what this thread was meant to be, a way to vent without causing a war, for me anyway, or whatever a person wants it to be.

This is what I mean! So what if she/he posted this thread months ago...it's the first time I have seen it, and other people seem to appreciate the thread and are posting their gripes..in fact you did too. But then someone (this same person who in the sarah palin thread said all liberals and progressives were communists ...how 1950's really!) makes a snide comment and you have to jump on the band wagon and make a snide comment too, and not even an orginal one to boot. Deny it all you want, if you can't see what you do...believe me others do!

Now getting back to what bugs me:
People who say they are one thing and act another!!!
