Quote OspreyGirl: ^So, I'm going to walk away from that, it's not worth it, and I'm in no mood for the drama...(OspreyGirl sitting on hands...lol...) In other news, has anyone seen Jermaine's interview with Matt Lauer? It was so heartbreaking seeing him describe how he heard the news from his mom, how the kids went in to see Michael, etc. Can you guys believe it's been a week? Still in shock, but slowly coming to terms with the reality of it all. Glad someone is coming back to reality. MJ was never quite into that. Did you see the interview where he talked about the birth of his second child? Where he said as soon as the child was born he wrapped it in a blanket and ran out of the hospital with it, and when he got home he cleaned off the placenta. When the interviewer asked him was that allowed he said the doctors said it was okay. LOL! MJ lived in a fantasy world where whatever he thought up was truth, and people were objects and playthings...including his children, ie dangling an infant over a balcony. |

They have to be hurting so much. They are old enough now to realize just what has happened and that he is gone. I know that at any age, it's not hard to see a deceased parent...I'm glad that they had a counselor there with the kids to help the family and them through that viewing. I'm glad that they got to know their father, even if it was for 12 years or so. So sad... |

Okay and the point is those are his kids I don't judge anyones parenting skills. As long as the kids didn't get hurt he can do whatever its nobodies place to judge peoples parenting skills. Also Michael was a genius and but there is a fine line between genius and insanity. I believe he is proof of that but also I don't think he recovered from the allegations of abuse he was very passionate about children and I know those allegations broke his heart! I don't understand how he lived in a fantasy world when he faced those charges. I don't believe the dying children he helped were in his fantasy world. I agree the Michael was a little crazy but in the end he was a good person. |

If writing insipid pop lyrics, and snythn pop falls into your column of genius... i can respect that you do not care for Michael Jackson or do believe he is guilty. everyone has an opinion on that. mine is that with the first case, i truly have no idea. there is still a gag order (per the insider today) that does not allow the first accuser to speak of the case. the 2nd case was admitted to be fraud. and that was from 2005. the boy admitted MJ never touched him. he and his mother accussed jackson of trapping them at neverland..many things. there are lots of links in regards to that story. i have even posted them in various places. since MJ was acquitted i choose to remember the good things about him. if a child was molested then that is horrible and not anything to be excused but since there was no prosecution, there is no proof of that. i will say jackson used bad judgement in even having kids in close quarters with him after the first accussation. it's no doubt that he did not always use good judgment and was a bit off. as someone who was very troubled, this surfaced alot with him. as for genius, there are many types of genius. not just that of which albert einstein was. genius of math, art, anything...in my eyes he was a true genius of dance..i've never seen anyone move like him during his best years. he was a great songwriter, choreographer (he did triller, many others) - singer & dancer. i think he revolutionized pop to what it is today. he was a very heavy influence regardless of what anyone's opinion is. also MJ was a top donator for many organizations. he may not have cured anyone but he probably helped many get the help they needed. it was said he gave well over 300 million for many causes. www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/113-michael-jackson Charities supported :: Michael Jackson has supported the following charities: ACauses supported Abuse, AIDS, Animals, At-Risk/Disadvantaged Youths, Cancer, Children, Education, Environment, Family/Parent Support, Health, Hunger, Mental Challenges, Physical Challenges the list goes on and on really. He was not just the "pop star" who made the most donations to charity but also the "Celebrity" who donated more than any other. That puts him ahead of any actor, ball player or anyone else in the public eye. He did a lot of good for a lot of people. And then there was the "We are the world" benefit. Amazing person to care so much for people he don't even know. |

I just heard that Larry King was close to the defense attorneys from the 2005 case and learned that the boy's mother was lying about the molestation...Larry couldn't testify because it would have been considered hearsay...WOW! |

If I heard this back then, I didn't remember, but this is really interesting...more and more stuff is coming to light. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7910923 There is a lot of things coming out now about the injustice that was done to Michael. Larry King has done at least 2 entire shows this past week about Michael. He knows that he is innocent and he said as much. It is way to late but now I hope the eyes of the accusers are open to the truth. |

Well let me go ahead and give you the definition of genius " an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, MUSIC! Etc". And if you think all he did was write some lyrics to some songs you are sadly mistakin. MJ was the pioneer of pop music, He was an icon of dance, He was also a great humanitarian, a fashion icon " his coats have their own museum" and a inspiring movie director. What makes MJ special to me that people forget is that Michael Jackson was black and he opened up so many if not all the doors for the black entertainers. You also said he didn't cure cancer or anything but you know I bet he's visited the children that had cancer and donated more money to sick children than any of us. He also made a song about a boy dying of aids and featured him in the video so he would never be forgotten. So just because someone has a huge IQ doesn't always make them a genius! Michael Jackson was a genius! That's why 500 million people in one hour registered to try to get tickets to his funeral! |

Okay well everyone win Michael Jackson got aqquited of the charges and those scammers got their money what's the problem HE GOT AQUITTED! I don't see why we are still going over this he gave those people that money so he could lay that crap to rest and get on with his life. I don't believe someone who donated Millions to children would touch one. Sorry don't believe it never have. Michael Jackson also said in an interview that he never slept in the bed with those kids he said something along the line of he let the kids sleep in his bed and he slept on the floor. Doesn't matter case was dismissed and everyone was happy sorry if someone molested my SON I wouldn't have settled for no money but they did because that's what they wanted and Michael knew that. |
cats meow![]() |
very good point princess, it is my belief that if a parent truly believed someone hurt their child, no amount of money would be enough to drop the charges, can you imagine the impact that would have had??? parents refuse to take money and want justice, now that might have convinced me |

Quote ilovemedanes: The people who accused him would never recant because now they could be prosecuted. If MJ was so innocent why would he (MJ) settle out of court so many times? Because, you never know what a jury will decide. My totally innocent cousin was accused by his wife of molesting her disabled child when all he had done was bathe the boy (at her request). She was having an affair & wanted to divorce him & get all his money & did. His lawyer advised him to plea-bargain b/c if he went to trial the jury might believe the wife & send him to jail for a long term. |
