I absolutely loved his Moon Walk...and I am an old woman!!! I spent hours trying to master that moon walk. I love all of his songs but like the rest of the world "Thriller" is my all time favorite. If I had to pick a song it would be "Billie Jean". I remember the first time I heard that song. I was at a party and a friend had just bought the album. The guy had a walkman and handed me one of the ear phones. It was so noisy in the room that I really couldn't really hear the lyrics. All I knew was that I loved the beat. Wasn't long till it was off the charts! 13 number ones is really amazing. |

Oh dear, just watching them taking him out of hellicopter and putting him in the van...so, so sad! The amount of news coverage his death is receiving is quite a tribute to the impact he had...all major news stations have interrupted their regular programming to cover this. They interrupt prime time for very few celebrities. He was odd & lived what was probably a sad, sad life but what he accomplished in the world of music was, & remains, phenomenal. He was so talented. This is so sad. |

Quote xx_Jenn_xx: I cant believe he is gone.. The memories...Rock with You was the song I won my very first dance contest too..I will remember that forever..To my cheerleading practices to ABC, I Want u Back & PYT... This is devastating! Liz Taylor and Michael where very very close friends. When reporters tried to get a statement from her earlier they where told she was too devastated to comment. This has to be really hurting her because she adored him. |

Michael Jackson is the THIRD great entertainer of my generation to die. The first was ELVIS in 1977(although I wasn't a big fan, I did like his movies), the SECOND was the assination of JOHN LENNON in 1980(a wonderful, haunting, moving writer of songs for both the BEATLES & his own band with his wife Yoko Ono) and now of course MICHAEL JACKSON in 2009(lead singer & fabulous dancer of THE JACKSON FIVE and the his phenominal solo career). What most people don't realize is that MICHAEL JACKSON'S career spanned for 42 YEARS, twice as long as either ELVIS or LENNON. I bet they are already forming a new band in heaven, and finally Michael is at peace. God Bless. |
