Micheal Jackson and Farrah Fawcett passed away on the day I left for Florida. It kind of ruined my whole vacation because I was sooo sad.I heard it on the plane when the women infront of us read it on her laptop. At first my mom and I didn't believe her but when we landed and got to my grandparents house we knew it was real.My parents loved him in the 80's.I even like him.He had some great songs. He will be missed by all very much. |

I totally agree with you. He died right before I left for Atlanta. So I was depressed to. Farrah didn't upset me as much because her death was expected. But it's still sad. I hope they both rest in peace. |

So....as of right now, the LA homicide department is still investigating MJ's death, but are not calling it an official homicide investigation? I guess that's like being sorta pregnant...I don't know... |

LOS ANGELES – A law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation into Michael Jackson's death says the pop star's personal doctor administered the powerful drug that authorities believe killed him. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090727/ap_en_ot/us_michael_jackson_investigation You know this guy had to grow up with a father like Joe and could have had it all. But with his leagl troubles and face it ended up not such a great life BUT here we are with his death and it's still crazy. Has the guy been buried yet? I hope HE is at peace at least. So at first, I thought this Dr. Murray was just distraught and kept doing CPR even in the ER because he didn't want to believe MJ was gone...now I'm starting to wonder if this doctor was acting the way he did out of guilt...hmmmmm.... |

This is a link to a song that he recorded last year; someone used it to post a tribute to him. |

I had a feeling the Dr was guilty. How sad that Michael had such an aweful case of insomnia that he wanted this drug. I suffer from this too but at least ambien helps. He must have been so far gone from lack of sleep to accept the risk of death. That Dr needs to be hung to have said Yes to Michael when he asked him for it. |

I'm so sorry to hear that you suffer from insomnia, but glad that you have Ambien to regulate your sleep better. You know, I haven't cried since the memorial service, and with this news about the doctor today, I don't feel like crying anymore, I'm just angry! How could this happen? Here's probably what went down--MJ came home from rehearsals in the wee hours of June 25th...hopefully he looked in on his kids before heading to bed...good ole Doc Murray hooked him up to the IV with the propofol, and he either went to sleep or left the house...sometime later in the early morning hours, MJ was probably already dead, the doc realizes this and panics, in shock trying to figure out what to do...the staff member calls 911 shortly thereafter...the EMT arrive but found no pulse, wanted to pronounce MJ dead at the scene, but Doc Murray insisted on continuing CPR...in the ambulance, and in the ER..... But you know what...he may have been the most recent doc to give him this anesthesia, but he wasn't the only one...there better be a roundup of doctors in for manslaughter charges! http://www.tmz.com/2009/07/28/michael-jackson-dr-conrad-murray-propofol-died-lap... |

Quote OspreyGirl: So....as of right now, the LA homicide department is still investigating MJ's death, but are not calling it an official homicide investigation? I guess that's like being sorta pregnant...I don't know... Oh--the Pepsi commercial video popped up showing footage from behind MJ when his hair/scalp caught on fire...CNN has been showing this footage and people who are interviewing stating that this is the time when Michael started taking Demerol for 2nd and 3rd degree burns... Deepak Choprah stated that Michael felt deformed--he had the lupus and vitiligo flaring up in around the same time as the burn incident, and he said MJ started down the path of plastic surgery--starting with the skin grafts to his head, and then later as we know to his face. He had his first nose job in 1979 after breaking it in a fall, and he had another one in 1984. So...this fire and his autoimmune diseases apparently is what caused our beloved Michael to retreat into being more and more of a recluse...gosh I feel so awful for what he had to go through! I do hope he is now "Resting in Peace" for his life, apparently, has been really difficult and far from peaceful. |

Anyone who has never spend a week without sleep has no idea the toll it takes on you. There is a reason that "sleep deprivation" is a form of torture for prisoners of war. I would rather have the water boarding any day. I can completely understand how this drove Michael to the point of using this drug for sleep. To be honest their have been times like about the 4th or 5th day without sleep that I too must likely have done the same thing. When you are suffering with this condition you are unable to think or rationalize and your body and mind are not your own anymore. Like the prisoners of war you are ready to do what you must. No one can condem him when he was suffering from something they have never been through. Anyone who calls him an addict and condems him for the use of this drug should try a week awake. It is purely torture to your mind and your body. Thank God for ambien although it doesn't always work anymore. Without it I can not honestly say that I would not do the same thing after a while. Your mind focuses only on the rest it needs and craves. It is an awful disease not a choice! |
