Quote SndrElkins: I just wish that the media would leave him alone. They gotta be talking junk about peeps all the time. Yep, enough dirt is enough dirt. I wonder who they will use to harass and trash now that he is gone. Miss you Michael... |

All you Michael lovers out there help me out. My small town local paper is running a poll on whether the media is running too much coverage on Michael now. I know that the "too much" side is gonna win because this town is run by rich old retirees who have moved here and treat the place like it is in the movie Footloose. But if any of you want to I would appreciate it if you would place a vote against theirs and help me. I know we can't beat them but I don't want it to be all them and nothing for Michael. The results will be in a big front page pie chart next week. If you will help me go to thefranklinpress the poll is on the left side in the green bar. Help me not let them run away with this one. Gotta do it for our Michael. |

I am very sorry he is gone. He was enormously talented (as well as tortured, apparently). But my question is, what in Heaven's name was he doing with Diprivan in his home? That's an anesthesia drug, generally only administered in the Operating Room by a CRNA or Anesthesiologist or in Intensive Care by a highly trained ICU nurse, for the purpose of keeping a patient deeply sedated. Who was using it? Was someone giving this intravenous drug to Michael? There certainly should be an investigation. Could he have died because of this drug? |

Who was using it? Was someone giving this intravenous drug to Michael? There certainly should be an investigation. Could he have died because of this drug? Michael was having trouble sleeping. His nanny said he never slept more that 3 hours. I too am an incurable insomniac. I have had to take sleeping meds for over 17 years. Without if I never know when I will sleep again. I was diagosed at 10 years old when I was unable to sleep even then. I have gone over 5 days with no sleep. It makes you body ache all over like you have the flu and your mind is as productive as if you are totally drunk or drugged. You are so tired that you can't hold your head up but sleep won't come. You get to the point that you want sleep so bad that you would be willing to let someone hit you in the head and knock you out. It is hard to describe just how that feeling is. I have been to the point that I was ready to let someone sedate me for just a little sleep. Of course I would have wanted to be in the hospital for it. For people who cannot sleep, the sleep you have during surgery is the most wonderful sleep you can ever get. Anyway this was very dangerous for him to have in his home. I in no way think that he was using this and his cardioligist was oblivious to it. The doc had to be aware of what Michael was taken as each of the meds reportedly found causes your heart rate to rise significately. Something a cardiologist would notice. I don't think that Michael had this stuff hidden from the doctor.Everyone who has had surgery and been put under knows that there are many signs of it when you wake up. I am still saying the doctor was an enabler. |

I am still saying the doctor was an enabler. That type of insomnia must be pure torture. Do you know what the other drugs were? I would really like to know. I would think that Diprivan not only should have been being administered by someone very highly trained in its use but there should have been a crash cart on hand in case he got too much & needed to be resuscitated (crash cart= drugs & ivs for dealing with cardiac or respiratory arrest). If I recall, you have to titrate the dose of Diprivan very carefully & allow for weight, rate of elimination, depth of sedation, etc. It is definitely not a "one size fits all" kind of a drug. Very tragic but so are all the deaths by drug, one of the most recent being the talented Heath Ledger. |

I think all this speculation should have waited until after he was buried. |

I also have insomnia. So believe me i know how horrible it is to go without sleep. I'm a diabetic and for some of us this is part of life. I take ambien every single night for this but my Dr has warned me, eventually it'll stop working. Michael must have tried it at some point and perhaps desperate to even consider this drug (diprivan). I cant imagine oh wait, yes i can imagine the lengths that someone would take just to get a good nights sleep. When you dont you feel so bad it feels like your getting the flu but your not. Even the flu would be better because then you could sleep and slowly recover. Insomniacs wish that could happen. |

Even the flu would be better because then you could sleep and slowly recover. Insomniacs wish that could happen. You are right Sunny, there is a reason that sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture. That is exactly what it is. I would rather break my leg that feel the way a person feels after days and days of no sleep. I always found it amusing when I worked with people who would call in to work sick saying that they didn't sleep good the night before. If I did that everytime I was unable to sleep I would not be there any. Driving a car is so dangerous. If you get where you are going you are unable to even remember driving there. It really is a bad form of torture. If given a choice I would choose water boarding over sleep deprivation any time. SO I can see beyond a doubt that if Michael was in this situation he would do anything to try and get the sleep we all must have. I have been to the point I would do the same. Anyway I am not saying this was what killed him at all. No one knows that yet. Results of autopsies have not been given. Then we will know. |

Michael Jackson, I miss you and I will always love you no matter what anyone says. I hope to see you in the resurrection. I never believed all the crap they said about you. Being a pop star isn't a normal life style. They took away your childhood and the media was after you, everyone wanted a piece of you. They killed you. You never got to grow up, but was full of love. I can see that clearly. |
