Several days ago there was a thread that began discussing the fact of Obama's Citizenship-
I don't know what happened to that thread- it seemed to get off the main topic -then disappeared-

Wow!! His own Grandmother + 1/2 brother and sister say he was born in Kenya! and yet he is our president!! Amazing!! I read the whole thing and watched the clips. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth! Im afraid to say it but this is what I've thought all along! But honestlty I really would hate on this one to be able to say "I told you so"!! This is our country afterall and I want the best for it and myself and everyone else who lives and was born and raised here!!

I read the whole thread and the videos. What I found most interesting was His own Grandma says he was born in Kenya. Interesting. Im sure he'll get away with it! *************! I don't mean to offend it's just my opinion! and it doesn't really matter. Also I find it funny(even though it's not a laughing matter) that was able to get elected to senate and then to president without ever really showing a "real Birth certificate!! Does he have a SS#? It makes me wonder!! Our country has rules! Why are we ignoring them? Just wondering!! To get a liscence you need a ss and a bc so how did he ever get to where he is?This whole thing just leaves me with even more Q? about him! And a really bad feeling about our future if he satys in charge!!

Contrary to the arguments set forth above, Barack Obama is, in fact, a natural-born citizen of the United States, for the simple reason that he was born on American soil (in Hawaii, two years after it acquired statehood). The age and citizenship status of Obama's parents at the time have no bearing on Obama's own citizenship.

Any confusion on this point is the result of misunderstanding the legal concepts of jus sanguinis (right of blood) and jus soli (right of birthplace). Here's how the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service explains the difference:

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizenship at birth to almost all individuals born in the United States or in U.S. jurisdictions, according to the principle of jus soli. Certain individuals born in the United States, such as children of foreign heads of state or children of foreign diplomats, do not obtain U.S. citizenship under jus soli.
Certain individuals born outside of the United States are born citizens because of their parents, according to the principle of jus sanguinis (which holds that the country of citizenship of a child is the same as that of his / her parents).

It is a fact that under the provisions of Article Two of the U.S. Constitution, naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of president, but this disqualification does not apply to Barack Obama, who has been a citizen since birth.

UPDATE: Berg v. Obama lawsuit dismissed
A federal lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania by attorney Philip J. Berg charged that Obama was either born or naturalized in a foreign country and is therefore ineligible for the office of President. The case was thrown out of court on Friday, October 24, 2008 by U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick, who concluded in his decision that Berg's arguments were, among other things, "frivolous and not worthy of discussion."


I Think That Should Make Everything CLEAR!!!

******** But really do u guys really think this man could become the president of USA with no birth certificate or SSN I? This is really stupid to me because people know when people run for office the reporters are trying to dig up every piece of dirt they can find. Nobody thinks this wouldn't have surfaced yet? U really don't think the American government conducts a large background check on our future president? This is really farfetched to me just another reason for people bash our president they are really scrambling now!
