Know what?? In my younger, more carefree years DH & I had a motorcycle..... So do you know how many "Flies" ie bugs are eaten by riders on a bike?!?!?!?!? |

That was until they said that PETA is sending the president a catch and release fly trap so he can take future flies outside and set them free. I feel like such a murderer.  Imagine what they would say if you swatted a wasp in front of them. OMG! I just sprayed a hornets nest!  I am terrible!

PETA's efforts could be much better utilized. Boy if there is a bug heaven it must be mighty big to hold them all. Wonder if they throw buckets of blood on fly killers like they do fur wearers. Too damn ridiculous. Like someone said above they need to hit the dog pounds and protect the living breathing animals. I will not donate to them that is for sure. Don't want to support the "Save the Fly" campaign. My money will go to the kennels of unwanted animals not to these folks. I always liked them before before but now they seem to be nuts! Wonder what you should do if you find a tick on you. Maybe give it mouth to mouth?

I can remember some years ago, PETA demonstrated at the port of Mobile b/c of the fishing industry. They said the hooks caused the fish pain. I'm not for putting animals in unnecessary pain, but if it weren't for hunting and fishing some areas would be overrun with disease and food supplies for these animals would be exhausted. |

Our news had a story of an ignorant guy dragging his dog on a rope from his bumper. Dog is going to be okay but you should see the poor thing! C'mon down PETA, there's real stuff happening out there. |

C'mon down PETA, there's real stuff happening out there. sadly there was a similar story in this area about 2 years ago that just made me sick. the dog had been abused for some time then finally dragged for about a mile then left to die in a ditch. disgusting. BUT the dog survived and was on the news in need of a home. such a sweet looking dog too. i tried to call to attempt adoption but wow, hundreds beat me out and i was so happy to hear that. so many wanted to provide that dog with a loving home. i believe there is a special kind of hell for anyone that could do that to an animal OR CHILD. omg. i've always thought (still do) about becoming a foster mother when my boys get older just b/c of the horror i hear on the news. but yes, PETA's time is better spent on cases like that one, puppy mills and much larger issues than if someone swats a fly. i'm sure people would want their donation money spent on bigger issues than how someone swatted a fly to death. |
