Cher's daughter Chastity Bono to have sex change

Chastity is all set to have a sex change and will now be called CHAZ. While I knew she was a lesbian, I did not realize that she was considering a sex change. I guess you must really feel that you have always been in the wrong body to have parts of yourself surgically removed. I guess it wouldn't be a decision easily reached. I have another question for anyone who feels like they want to give their opinion. What do ya'll think about the man(to me she is still a woman if she has female sexual reproductive organs)who Babs Walters interview that had the baby, actually two babies, now. I think if she wanted to have babies with her lesbian lover have the babies and then get the surgery done, take the hormones, and marry your lover. But (IMO) it looks like they were trying to somehow beat the law in their state because gays were not allowed to marry, the law considered her a man because she took male hormones, but did not have her female reproductive organs removed and she does not have a penis. What do ya'll think? I do believe that gays should be allowed to marry so I'm not hating on this particular couple, just stating my opinion. |

first of all congrats mrshadowgirl, from everything i have read about trans gender i truly believe something went wrong and they were born the wrong sex, the weird thing is i saw something about it on tv the other day, it was called taboo, don't know what station it was on, anyway, these individuals all feel the same way, they were born the wrong sex, that must be an awful feeling, can you imagine, how do you tell the people you love? how do you protect yourself from nut cases who would do harm to you? what about people you work with? this is not a decision that comes easily and, the person must get counseling and live as the opposite sex for an entire year before they can have the surgery |

I remember seeing two different men who transgendered to women(on Oprah but can't remember if they'd had surgery)and both stayed married to their wives. just me personally, I couldn't stay married to a man who transgendered to a woman. One of the men (his was more complicated case)now he has admitted to being attracted to men and wanting to go out on a date with a man, so was he gay or should he have been born a woman? The first man who had been a woman said he is still attracted to his wife and wants to have sex with her but she says she didn't marry a woman is not a lesbian. What do you think about the woman who was legally considered a man who gave birth to two babies? |

As far as drag queens with breast implants go (that dress as women, aren't most of them that are with bi-sexuals men pre-operative or not going to have surgery and that is why they are with bi gays instead of gay men? And I bet they do have to be careful, or they could end up the victim of a hate crime. Did anyone ever see "A Girl Like Me"? It was the story of a young boy(teenager 18, 19) who always felt like a girl, started dressing like a girl, family problems, and the hate crime that followed that resulted in his death. The movie started with the trial of his murders. True story, very sad.

Drag queens get paid for being drag queens and impersonators (men dressing and acting as women).....a transexual will not get paid for performing as a woman and being a man...so most wont go thru the surgery because this is their job......perhaps when they get older and cant perform anymore they might go for the surgery. Just want to clarify......i'm a hairstylist and have always been exposed to the gay life style including many drag queens....its one of my fringe benefits

Oh, I do know that drag queens get paid and that most don't have the surgery, but I do think that when they are with bi=sexual men that they are happy that the men have both the breast implants and other assets. I have seen some BEAUTIFUL drag queens and alot are prettier than women. I have relatives in New Orleans and have been to the Gunga Den several times(although not in years. Drag queens as a whole are a blast and very fun to party with. |

my definition of a drag queen is, a gay man dressing up as a woman from time to time, or a man dressing up as a woman to appear on stage, a trans gender is a person that is very uncomfortable with who they are, they want an operation to change their anatomy so they can live as the gender they feel they truly are |

I also have friends (gay men) who dress up for the fun of it. I thought the question was why dont some drag queens living as a woman 24/7 get a sex change and my answer was because they wouldnt get paid if they did. The ones you see on stage have to have their male body part but can have breast implants. cats that movie was sooooo sad
