Good Morning Girls!!

Bosses are out of the office today, and I'm just doing this...

I've been kinda down since yesterday, I'm going through some stuff with Britt, and it sucks!! I guess she's giving back to me what I put my parents through all those years...so now the fun really begins!

Anyway, I'll be in and out all day, trying to find something to cheer me up a little...check back later!

Dakota- I would love to come to Boston, but it is not possible this year. I'm happy to hear Dakota doing well.

Tess- How is Alyssa doing?

The graduation was adorable. The kids did a wonderful job. My son had double ear infection and blister on one of his ear drum ( we took him to DR. in the am). He was a trooper, he sang and said his lines and I cried.
The weekend was great, we went to the shore and did some of the rides. Sunday, my niece did her Communion and after the reception , we to my brother's house and the kids went swimming. Monday, went to a BBQ.

The weekend go so fast.

Britt has a new friend...I didn't trust this girl from day one, but decided that if Britt insisted on hanging out with her, she would do it at my house. She spent the night at my house, and I woke up to Britt having her nose pierced (which isn't the worse thing)...I went through her cell phone, and found out that she's smoking!! I feel like I'm to blame...I mean, I smoke...and how could something like this slip by me?? I'm worried that there is more that I don't know...

Yes, I'm going to talk to her to today when I get home...she was avoiding me yesterday and she went to bed almost as soon as I got home...I've already told her that her new friend is no longer welcomed in my home.

I'm so disappointed in Britt...I know that she knows better!!
I have a long road ahead, but I'll get through this!!

I am not a mother, but my advice is from a very good mother, MY MOTHER She told me that if I can't do it in front of her, then I shouldn't be doing it. If Britt wanted to get her nose pierced, then she should have done it in front of you..if she smokes, she should smoke in front of you. She's going to smoke if she wants to(you are not with her 24/7)...you just have to make her not want to. There are no benefits from smoking (you and I both know that) so educate her on the dangers of smoking...something might click with you as well You know I say that last part, well all of this out of love..I'm not trying to give you a hard time by any means..you are going through enough. Love her and educate her and like speechless said, keep the lines of communication open. You will get through this..all of our mothers did!

Batmom....I wish that you could come to Boston but if you can't, I understand. I am still up in the air as to what I am doing with the package since this event is priced a la carte.

Speechless...I am so sorry to hear that you were rear ended. The same thing happened to me 3 years ago. I had over 7K in damage to my vehicle that his insurance had to apy for. I went to the hospital (in a stretcher, with a neck brace)even though I wasn't hurt really bad jsut to rule out anything other then whiplash becvause I had the jaw surgery a year prior. This way my insurance would pay any medical bill related to the accident. I saw in my rear viwe mirror that I was going to be hit in advance. I warned Danny to brace himself, we are about to be hit. There was nothing I could do because I was stopped at a red light. The a s s hole was looking down, and wasn't paying attention. Luckily, we were both fine but had whiplash for a couple of weeks. Danny, didn't allow himself to lock up. He stayed calm. I always panic.

I understand about phone jobs. I still gabbed on the phone after work, but alot of people hate phones when they are on them all day.

Tess...Hang in there. Britney needs you, no matter how she is acting right now. She is testing the waters.

Tess, Brit is a good kid she is just testing the waters right now. My daughter is 15 now and I can promise you there were days when she was 12 & 13 I wanted to lock myself in the closet but I promise it gets better just stay that "MEAN MOM" and you both will be fine!

Hey everyone, thanks for all the advice...Britt and I had a talk last night, somewhat of a talk anyway...I don't want to dump all of my feelings and concerns on her at once because they are overwhelming to me, I can imagine what it will do to her. I am really trying to approach this carefully because I don't want her to shut down on me. So far it seems like she is just testing the waters as you all have said. She told me that she doesn't even like cigarettes, and that she only does it when this "new friend" is around. Right now though, it's hard for me to believe anything that she tells me. I'm trying to understand why she would experiment with cigarettes knowing the harm they can do. I also pointed out my struggle with cigarettes, and asked her if she wanted to have to go through that later in life...

I know I will get through this though, it's just going to take some time!
