Well, I finally did buy one last night. The place I bought it from has the Wii w/ Monopoly game included too along w/ the Sports. I also bought the new Sports Active game. Haven't tried it but I'll let you know.

Hi aussie-gal, I have one and though we use it once in a while, we found it's definitely not the same workout that we get while in our gym or at our local gym. It's more for fooling around, we find. We prefer our heart rates to be optimum while working out so that we burn the most fat/calories... haven't tried that particular package that Ali Sweeeney is paid to drone on and on about. Won't bother. Keep that in mind when purchasing that she's paid a lot of money to advertise for them.

My belief is that the Wii can't replace real fun like going out to play tennis or bowling, etc. in real life. It's simply not the same and you don't burn as many calories with it but still, it's fun.

As it's Winter here, it gets dark at 6.00pm just when I'm getting home from work so rather than trudge along to the gym in the dark, I'm giving this a try.

Yes, that's what I bought - the one Alison Sweeney showed on Ellen's show. I'm trying it tonight...

Oh heck.. when it's that cold, I don't like going out to workout either. We installed a home gym a few years ago and use that mostly. I hope you enjoy the Wii! My mum loves it.

It's not THAT cold here but when it's dark I'm really not in the mood to go to the gym.

I tried it last night and I love it. I did the Sports Active thing like boxing, running & jumping. I worked up a sweat I tell ya.
