Me too! I hope they stay together for their kids! They should try counseling and stop doing the show and see what happens! They need to think about those 8 kids! and what is best for them! Neither can handle 8 kids full time alone so what are they gonna do? Split them up too! I stayed married because of my step son(we have full custody and Im the only mom he knows)not the 2 kids we have together and 6 years later yes we have prblems but we work throughthem! Our family is our #1 priority!! All parents should feel that way!( I understand sometimes it just doesn't work but you need to try for more than 5 min. and actually participate in trying to fix whats wrong!! Seems to me alot of married couples just split @ the first sign of trouble! If you take vows you should take them seriously! If not don't get married! It should be and was / is intended to be a life long commitment!!(IMO)!!!

From the very start I have not been able to watch this show because, well, I don't think it is healthy for the kids to always be in the public eye. And well, I don't like the way Kate talks to Jon and I don't like how Jon behaves towards the kids sometime.. and his attitude has always seemed to me that he really would have rather been somewhere else than taping this show... but it is apparent who runs the show in the Gosslin house.

But when the new season started and they tried to make Kate out to be the victim... well really please give me a freaking break.. the only victims in this are those kids. They constantly have cameras following them around all the time, and now there is this media frenzy... for the sake of the children give up the show. There are alot of families out there with multiple children who do just fine without having to resort to using said children on a reality tv show to finance the family... my brother has eight children and he does just fine with a regular job.

Now, it look like the price those children will have to pay is either living with two parents who don't get along... who might try to get along for the sake of the children... that never ever works. Kids are smart the can sense tension, so it's better to just call it a day and separate, but then the kids will have to be part of a broken home.. that may not have had to be a broken home, if only mommy did not get bitten my the fame bug, and daddy put his foot down.

On the other hand you can never really know what goes on inside somebody else's house, and they could have been having problems for a very long time... when couples are not clear about the parameters of their relationship and marriage before they marry, hardly ever make it longterm. Jon and Kate, I think were two people who might really have never been on the same path. If they were, I don't think they would be in this place... to bad for those children. Hopefully this is the end of the show.. and they are going to get some counseling with all that money they have made that ended up hurting more than it helped... and not from Dr. Phil either. Those poor poor babies.

I really don't think the announcement is that they are getting a divorce. I doubt that The Learning Channel would actually let themselves be a platform for divorce, unless all they really care about is ratings. I think it's possible that they are discontinuing this show -- possibly later becoming Kate plus 8 but who knows. I think people are losing interest, esp. with new shows like the Little Couple and Little People Big World, about families striving to work together for the common cause, i.e., their family. When Jon and Kate first started it was all about an average couple with an extraordinary amount of kids doing ordinary things that everyone could relate to, like grocery shopping and playing with their kids when they're exhausted. Now it's become this wealthy family who has everything they could ever want (except happiness). I mean really who wants to see crooked houses?

I had read a little while ago, when Kate was doing an interview, they asked her about quitting the show due to the circumstances and issues that have came up recently. She said that she owed it to the American people to let them watch her kids grow up!....I thought lady, you owe me crap! But you do owe something to your family who is in the middle of a crisis! I wanted to jump through that article and slap her. I guess on Monday we will see where her heart lies.

What judge is going to give full custody of 8 kids for 1 parent! Most likely each parent will get 4 each! how is that being fair to the kids! If you have kids and are married but having problems suck it up and go to counseling and actually try to save your marriage and your childrens lives!! Splitting up a family should never be option 1. IMO!!!

I was wrong. I really didn't think they would be announcing they are divorcing, although they announced they are separating, when actually they are divorcing. Anyway, I thought they would work it out. I'm really surprised. I hope those kids will be okay because this is gonna be really hard for them.

I am sure u all have seen the pict's of Jon & his new twit..its so obvious he was cheating on her when all these problems began..he makes me sick! i dont care how Kate treated him,that doesnt mean its okay to go and have an affair..i dont condone cheating and mygoodness he has 8 children..i feel bad for them..

My take on this whole mess is that they went to extremes to conceive not once but twice. The kids should have been priority 1 not somewhere between or behind socializing and Kate's career. Divorce even strain in parents' relationship is tough on kids. The 2 oldest ones in my veiw have been some what robbed of a normal life, as for the six pack could they have ever really had a normal childhood?
By going to extremes to have kids, I think that as parents they have a greater responsibilty to their family, to get their homelife straight.

What a pig! I hope she finds a new guy when she is ready! One who'll love her and her kids! I hope Jon gets what he deserves!!
