To me that is racism. Plain and Simple. Vanessa Williams posed in sexually explicit pictures with another woman....did anyone see those pic's with Vanessa Williams? Definately not the same as Miss California. I wouldn't consider the fact that she stepped down after getting alot of grief over those photo's racism. |

I agree that she was humiliated and I think she stepped down before they kicked her out,she never gave her consent to have the pics published....but at that time such pictures were very scandelous. And I would also agree that posing for pics when you are trying to represent wholesomeness is a bit hypocritical...but then again both situations I think the contestants didn't think about their future while posing. I hope it's a lesson for our young girls. They are much more than sex object's |

Well miss CA's pics were taken last year....this is not a pageant that you can just willy nilly enter.....these contestants have been competing for years to get to this point...I do not believe for a second that last year she and no clue she would be in the Miss America pageant this year. |

I thought it was a diddly, dumb question to ask in the first place. I think the asker was just trying to make himself front and center and see if he could humiliate someone by giving him the answer he didn't like. Then, he could make a big issue of it (which he did - all over the talk shows, interviews, blogs, etc.) in order to push his own agenda. I don't think anyone else cares what the heck she thinks of gay marriage - is that why they tuned in? Whatever side of the issue you fall, I don't think a beauty pageant is the place to debate this question. |

I agree with you Eppy...but the issue is she went against the left and they so don't like that, but they don't berate the President that basically said the same thing (in his own words of course)

I don't think it was so much the left that didn't like it... even people on the left have pro and con opinions on the subject. The media just covered the big stink this guy made when he didn't like her answer, and everyone and his dog got dragged into the controversy. |

I would agree with this raving- as you say its not just something you decide at the last moment- it takes years of pageants so far as I know to work up to the biggie- I don't know how long it takes to get breast implants but it sounds just horrid to me and must be some kind of recuperation involved? In any event I support her right to give her opinion on the question asked of her- if whomever makes up these questions has the gumption to ask this one then they best sit tight and accept without criticism the answer they are given- that hilton creep is just that, a creep -reminds me brooks eppy  - I hope now that her fate has been decided we can move onto more pressing news- I think Trump is pervert-

Oh I am sure there is a recovery time....but I have no idea how soon before the pageant, she received her lovely gift! Most people are out and about showing off their new assets with in 3 weeks.....so who knows...who cares...and I totally agree Trump is a perv! |

When his current wife gets too old he'll replace her with a new model ( just like every other one) or maybe he'll actually stay with this one and do the pageant girls on the side( JMO but I bet he already is)!!!
