Hello everyone!!
Just sticking my head in to say hello to you guys. My goodness, my normal peaceful lifestyle has been blown out of the water for the last couple of weeks, my house is full of family and I love it. The memorial service went great, we all laughed, cried, told stories, and ate lots of good food, and about 5 minutes after we left, it started to rain!! Thanks again to all that remembered us in your prayers, still need enough to flush out the river, but it is beautiful and green now.

Grangran, hope that your sister is doing better. Nonnie, same for Laura and Coastie, prayers for your niece. Seems that all the people on this site have some really good connections. Puddy, you hang in there, I know how tough it can be, losing our siblings is very hard indeed. I have lost two in less than 6 months, but praise God for the 4 I have left.Lomille, thought of how you said you loved to be where there was lots of food, you truly need to be here!!

Thanks for asking about me and I pray that each and everyone of you have great times ahead. Company for another week or so, then my sister and I will do a road trip to California with our brother that lives there, he drove down for about three weeks. Thank you all for allowing me on this site, it means the world to me..as MacAuthur said....I shall return!!

Glad you checked in, I know you will enjoy your trip with your siblings. You just be careful and have a safe trip.

I went to California when I was in my late teens. My sister was going out to be with her husband who was in the service. Can you believe we had to go by bus with two small children. It took us three days and nights, you talk about a miserable trip. Most of the trip the bus was crowded and we had to hold the kids.

But I enjoyed it after we got there, it is a beautiful place. Luckily we drove back. We will miss you.

Just stopping in to read the posts but do not have the time to respond to each post as I like to do. Will do that later.

I'm on my way out of state to a funeral, 10 hour drive. Back home Monday.

Sooooo until then be safe, well, and know prayers are going up for ALL.

Happy Friday everyone - I’ve not posted on this board much lately, mainly due to limited time at work.

Puddy – I’m so glad that you’re back.

Grangran – I hope that your sister’s antibiotics work well for her. As for my avi, I thought it would look good through Halloween. And, thank you for your well wishes for my niece as she carries a baby as a surrogate mother.

Glassldy – Enjoy your boxer mix. My hubby & I have an almost 3-year old boxer (never got the papers from the previous owner, but at least he wasn’t taken to the pound.) We got him at 3 months. Our mutt (supposedly a black lab/pit mix, but looks like a mini doby) was 7 at the time and very depressed. Bradlie (the mutt) had always been around large dogs and was at that time all along. When we got Gus, we were concerned that she’d cause trouble. As it turned out, she is him mama – even down to licking his ears clean every morning when he gets up. She never had puppies of her own.

Coastie – Amy is in my prayers as I am reading this, as are you.

Shorty – “as MacAuthur said....I shall return!! Just be sure to return safely.

It's beginning to rain here AGAIN! The farmers, particularly the cotton farmers, are really having a rough time because the fields are so wet they can't get equipment in to harvest the crops.

Everyone of you are always in my prayers. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hello everyone,
Just got to my nieces and decided to check out what was going on with the boards. Hope that this finds you all doing well and having a happy life.

CindiAnn,
Your farmers are having trouble because it is too wet and here in Texas, they could not even plant because of the dry...only the ones that have irragation..funny world.

Grangran, nonnie, lomille,Cindiann, Coastie, puddy, glassldy, and anyone else on this fine thread...hope you and yours are doing well. My company is about to kill me with all this running around, but gosh it has been so much fun and I will truly miss them once they have all gone home..

Prayers and good wishes to you all..

Did any of you follow the saga of balloon boy?? IT WAS A HOAX. I just heard on news that the entire family was in on it. THAT is terrible! All the money & effort & concern that was shown was for naught. What if those rescue people had been needed for a real emergency?? I hope the grownups get punished, especially the father who has a desire for publicity. Well, he's got publicity now--the wrong kind. Hope they put his a-- in jail for awhile.

Hi everyone just dropping in to say hi. My neighbor came over yesterday and trimmed some tree branches for me. They were hanging too low to walk under they look much better. He said there was a squirrel in the tree that looked like it wanted to jump him. lol

Hope everyone has a good week and I am still praying for all of you. ((((((hugs)))))

Good Monday morning, kaycountrygal - I agree that was an unexcusable trick to pull with sending that balloon up and having us all think the little boy was in there. After reading and seeing photos of how they took their kids out on their dangerous storm-chasing trips and now this and also, who knows what else they've put these boys through, I personally think the kids should be taken away from them and they should be prosecuted for child abuse. Although I didn't see or hear it, somebody told me that he was very abusive towards his wife. Jerk!!

grangran - What a nice neighbor you have to trim your tree branches. Isn't that a relief when that's done? The squirrels here are getting aggressive - I guess because winter is near and they're in a hurry. Then again, they always look as though they're in a hurry. Wonder if your squirrel had it's nest in the tree and felt threatened.
