I have to email Shorty and see how she is doing.

I've been wondering about gran's sister, too. The last I remember reading was that she got a new doctor who seemed to have a better handle on things and she was home from the hospital waiting for the infection to subside so she could have surgery. Do you or anybody else have an update?

My little sort-of-Siamese is named Iris (the humane society named her and the name fits those eyes) and I know that Siamese are supposed to talk a lot but she's 5 years old and has never said a word. She doesn't meow or cry or talk. When she wants to say something, she just grunts. That's hard to hear, too. The only time I can hear her is when she's greeting me. We've never had a cat that's as vulnerable and uh, dumb, as Iris but she's a gentle sweetheart and always predictible because of the eyes.

Thanks for asking about my daughter, Laura. She's holding her own now, thank heavens. The almost nervous breakdown is over and she's able to make her own decisions now. She's on radiation 5 days a week for 16 weeks and she's on her third week now. The radiologist told her that if she were to drink a glass or even two of wine each day that the resveratrol in the wine would help to keep her skin from burning. So far, her skin looks great although she has a bullseye tatooed on her chest where they put the radiation each day. They said the tatoo will gradually disappear within a year. A year? Well, I guess in the grand scheme of things, that's nothing. Then she discovered that you can buy resveratrol in capsule form so she's taking that, too. She isn't tired and has no ill effects from the radiation. She will have a blood test on Thursday that will show whether or not her breast/bone cancer is estrogen-fed or not and it if is, she will have a hysterectomy. Not one of us has dared to ask what will happen if it's not estrogen fed. There's a possibility that at some point she will need to have a mastectomy but I don't remember why. So all in all, for a girl in her condition, she's good. I very much appreciate your asking.

Hope everybody is well and hope GLASSLDY gets over the flu soon. Thanks to everybody for their kindness about Laura.

God bless.

Quote puddycat: Well, I guess I am officially losing it - - too much stress in the last month. I am asking where nanna is? I was actually referring to you nonnie, and want to know how your daughter is.....

And, grangran - - how is your sister?

Sorry - - it will all come back soon!

Thanks puddy my sister went for a scan Friday and he said for her to stay on the intravenous antibiotics for another week then come back. She has a port and takes one medicene three times a day and one of them twice. She said her husband has gotten good at doing all that needs to be done.

I have seen nanas on the update board about everyday maybe she will drop in soon.

nonnie thanks for your concern with all you have on your mind. I hope Laura continues to do well with the radiation. I know she has to be so tired. I am still praying for her, you and all of her family everyday.

Hi, GLASSLDY55 - Hope you're feeling better today, Wednesday. How's the new puppy?

I agree with you that it's really hard to stay interested in Y&R any more. First, we're thinking that Nikki will leave the show only to have her not leave but I'd bet it won't be long before she does. Maybe she worked out an agreement with them to stay until Victor leaves. Wonder if Katherine Chancellor will be next.

Hello Everyone,

A big THANK YOU to all for your thoughts concerns and prayers...lord knows I need them...LOL!!! But not as much as all those dealing with health issues..This has been such a challenge bringing a new puppy into the house. One of the reasons I wanted a puppy was for my 9 year old dog for companionship. I gotta tell you she is hating me right now...! We adopted the little guy from the webstie called Petfinder. He came from a high kill shelter in Tenn. His mom was found walking down a dirt road with 7 pups in tow. The rescue orginization called Critter Calvery rescued them and that is how I found my little guy. The cost of the pup covers the transport up here to RI all shots and spaying and nutering. What a wonderful organization...!!!! He is a boxer mix. You can tell he has seen more than any pup should ever see. He has some nasty scars on his legs which we have no idea how it happened but even with this he is the sweetest pup and so very grateful and full of love...but also poop and pee...way more than I rememberd...LOL..I like all new moms...just praying he sleeps through the night very soon...LOL

For all those with loved ones with health issues and issues yourself's my thoughts and prayers are with you all...!

Be well...!!!!!!
