Quote Blue 501: We need one of those bloodless cat carriers too. All Alex's cats love her but one of them was a feral kitten & he grew up at a cat shelter & no one would take him b/c he was ugly & psycho (kind of reminds me of a Y&R character). They sent him home with Alex on tranquilizers. She has tamed him enough that he sleeps with her & will bonk my hand before he runs & hides but he DON'T like to go to the vet.We need something to put him in that he can't snag anything (including us) on his way in. MaGuire would tear a soft one all to pieces.

Hi Ya'!
The cat carrier I was talking about is cat proof unless you plan on carrying a mountain lion. LOL! It is framed & is made of VERY heavy canvas. You can get them in many sizes. This one is for dogs due to the size of our BIG BOY!!
Good Luck!!

I'm sorry, cant recall who asked but YES I am a Tarheel fan.

Pet People: My big ole cat weighs 26 lbs (Siamese/Persian mix). He is too big to go in the small carrier, the one I use for chihuahua. I bought a medium sized one for cat. Animals sure are sweet, arent they? I've often said if I could come back as an animal, I would want to come back as one of my pets because I take such good care of them & love them alot.

Thanks for those of you who congratulated me on engagement. Who says love cant happen in "old age"? (smile) At 66 I guess I'm "set in my ways" but he doesnt seem to mind. (smile)

Hi everyone. I'm Sandi. 58 years young. just had a birthday, can't believe it, seems like yesterday I was young and now it has a different meaning than when I was young LOL. I live in Tomball, Texas. One son, 40, still can't believe it, he's a minister, his teens were trying years. A daughter-n-law, a 20 year old grandson in college, a 16 year old and 9 year old grandaughters. Love cats. Had a ferret, female, do you know the ferret and my cat were buddies. Ferrets are very smart, they even come when you call them. I know you people don't know me but I feel like I know you, love the Y&R BLOG BOARD, (is that what you call it?) I use to post at Soap Central, but soap.com is much better I think. Wonderful place. Where is trouble?

sandi314... You asked if many come here on the weekend. Dunno; this is the first weekend for this particular Lounge site. I'm going outside now to plant some petunias & maybe a clematis. Kay in NC 9:45am

Quote Blue 501: Hi everyone. I think I am one of those people Candace referred to who posted personal information. (I expressed my sympathy with someone else who mentioned having breast cancer & said I was recovering too). Now I may as well go "all out". I am a former flower child, now living with my Russian emigre husband (a relatively new acquisition), my 93 year old Mama (who is still going strong), a Corgi named Fozzie, & have my daughter living in our other house next door with her cats.(She is in training to be a "cat lady") I was a wild child in my prime but now get my kicks growing daylilies & a garden & tracking down my million cousins on Ancestry (have 6,900 of them so far). I enjoy reading the comments & rooting for my favorite characters & even the fights are fun (sometimes) but they don't like us to do that either, do they? I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

Congratulations on you newest acquisition. I like how you say it. Many happy returns.

Good Morning EVERYONE! Guess we won't be addressing one another by names anymore or even saying good morning. What a bummer! If certain people don't like the greetings, they can simply skip over them.

Most of you already know about me. Those of you who don't, will give some info. I am a retired 72 year old English teacher with 46 years experience. I have one daughter who will be 45 in September and son-in-law, and one granddaughter who is 14. Love them all and cannot envision my life without my granddaughter. She is my heart! I spoil her and treasure every moment I spend with her. I am the eldest of two siblings, a sister and a brother. My parents are deceased. Still mourning them after all this time plus some people who were very dear to me.

I have three cats who think they own me and my home. They are spoiled rotten and are very sensitive to my well-being. They know when I don't feel well and stick to me like glue. These three do not like air conditioning. Have been feeding two outdoor cats, one of whom belongs to a cousin down the street. The other is farther down the street, seems he doesn't like the older cat who lives there. Their owners know I have been feeding them. I know I am saving them a ton of money. Both of the two outdoor cats think I am their mother. Every time I open the front door, they run to me meowing, expecting to be fed, which I foolishly do.

I am also a dog lover. My last one who was a tan chihuahua who lived 13 years and had to be put down because of kidney failure. No more dogs for me.

I love birds and have two big feeders in my front yard. Now, I am feeding hummingbirds. Have seen them here before, but never brought feeders until a week ago. Must fill another one today. My daughter must have at least 15 feeders in her yard. She got me hooked.

I love to read THE BIBLE, religious books, novels, magazines, daily newspaper, and just about everything I can get my hands on. Many shelves in my family room are filled with too many books. I call my bathroom my library since I always take some paper with me when I have needs.

k-bit: Thank you so much for starting this thread.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Blessings to you!
Carol

Hey, guys! Go to MESSAGE BOARDS and see lomille's post!
I had no idea she felt that way.

Since I didn't post on Friday, that explains why I saw no shout outs from anyone. I was wondering what had happened.

Hi sim. Does anyone else find it ironic that some people say the most nauseating & sexually graphic things & no one seems to notice but we expressed a little concern for one another & they suggest we take it elsewhere? lol
