Hello to everyone!

I have to say that I agree with everything that has been said on here. Don't get the chance to post as often as I would like. Sometimes I read the posts and if there is too much "back and forth" going on....I just stay off, don't feel like posting. Don't want to deal with it after working all day....or on my day off!

There are some on the boards that think, because they have been posting longer, that they have a "right" to "diss" other posters. I have never been one to be intimidated by anyone.....will always say what I feel. Does upset me, though, when others are attacked....for no other reason then that they don't agree with others. Kind of sad...

Life is too short to be this "intense" about a soap! I'm guilty of it too, sometimes. I just have to back up a little bit and think about it. I'm glad that we can meet here and visit each other, without the "drama" of the crowd.

Lorree and Got2beme......Welcome to our little "corner of the sky". This (hopefully) will stay a safe place to post without judgement or ridicule.

Y&R came on at 11:00 AM, EST. Wow I almost missed it but thanks to DVD taping. I never miss it. Plus cable soap channel.

Sporadic, nanas3, & others who have sick family members... I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts & prayers. I have a soft spot for folks who help take care of sick family. I did it for three family members for ten years & at times I felt alone, overwhelmed, tired, sad, scared and all sorts of feelings. In the end though I was so glad that I could help them. Now that the ceremony is over, we can get back to our regular Y&R. I cried when MJ's little girl said she loved her Dad. Wow! How touching.

foreverY&R - Wasn't that heartbreaking to see Michael Jackson's little daughter crying about her Daddy's passing? I'm not much of a cryer but, boy, that did it. Gosh!! I didn't watch the whole thing - just a couple of minutes and right then is when she came on.

Although MJ was such a well-known entertainer that people from all over the world knew who he was, I don't think the people of Los Angeles - was it Los Angeles? - should be expected to pick up the cost of this elaborate ceremony. His family could have had a quiet funeral somewhere - which I think they did anyhow and Michael wasn't there at all today - and picked up the cost of this ceremony themselves. Even if there had been no public ceremony today, the networks will be showing his story for the next many months so those who are interested could have still got their Michael "fix". It's such a shame that he passed so young. He seemed to be a tortured man - it must have been awful to never, ever be able to show your face in public without a circus occuring.

Help everybody - My family and I desparately need your prayers for our daughter, Laura, who was told today that she has breast cancer. Laura is 45 years old; has an extremely high-pressure job; is going through a divorce; has two sons, Ben and Nate, who are 15 and 12 and a private boarding school is trying to woo Ben into leaving home and attending their school because of his abilities and although she's upset that he would be away from home, she doesn't want to - darn, I'm so upset that I can't even think straight - you know what I mean in that she doesn't want to hold him back if he wants to do this. She discovered the lump on Sunday, had a digital mammagram on Monday, got the results yesterday, saw the surgeon today who immediately got in her face and said he can tell even before the biopsy that it's malignant. Her biopsy is tomorrow (Thursday) and if the results are what the surgeon says they will absolutely be, her surgery will be on July 16. We don't know what will happen after that for sure but can venture a guess. I understand that the course of treatment is different for everybody but with our prayers, I'm hopeing that it won't even be necessary. Please keep Laura in your prayers. The old saying about how life is what happens when you're making other plans sure does apply.
